I've been debating on getting my structural pest control license the last 2 years and finally moved forward with it, I already have most of the equipment and passed my exams just waiting on my license now, but your videos have added a lot of knowledge to me. great videos, can't wait to see more.

Hey Dan good video! Just a few suggestions. Nitrile gloves while handling "products" or chemical as you call it, shoe covers or a different pair of shoes while entering a customer's home instead of the ones you wear outside and under houses. If an agricultural inspector stopped you chances are there would be a fine or warning for wearing shorts while spraying insecticide. Pants, tucked in shirt and not a backwards hat makes you look more professional as well. Not trying to be mean just some advice from a customer service business owner myself.
@thatguy9045

And a respirator while in crawlspaces. Protects from inhaling spores, mold, fiberglass from insulation, etc.

Im not sure what state ypu are in but here in South Carolina they are strict and i am in the pest control business and have my cat 7a structural pest control license and cat3 ornamental and turf license and its the law for us to wear pants at all times, we must wear boots on the outside and shoes with shoebees on the inside. When we do termite jobs it around $1500+ for a regular size home and a mono slab and we have to trench every inch and crawl spaces we have to trench the entire inside foundation wall and exterior wall and drill every pier and all expansion joints and i stall access panels inside home. On quarterly services i use a 100 gallon rig and spray around 15 to 20 gallons per house and a half gallon goes inside home. Itscrazy how different states work.

Another great option is pest pac. Very powerful software and does more than many of us utilize. It’s the largest used software. Pretty un user friendly. Lists of frustrations and my brother has to manually create a lot of stuff custom. The WDO stuff has been the most annoying. The routing and tracking metrics are great though. Gain loss reports, tech production reports, call back per tech/pest ect all all available and more. The dashboards are customizable too. Unfortunately the system is not user friendly AT ALL and some stuff takes hours to program. However we are in active talks with field routes at moving over to their software. For us (smallish) 1000+ reoccurring services that is a decent investment so we are serious about investing into software that is better for our our team.

When you’re using that rod I guarantee you the chemical is not dispersing enough which is why you need to use a trench Rodding is mainly for areas you can’t trench like heavy foliage or vines You can rod an ant hill for example but rodding dry grass / ground does almost nothing

Screen crawlspace vents with 1/4 inch hardware cloth you can charge $20 a vent or replace with Temp vents for $70-80 per vent installed. Then find any utility entry such as gas lines and ac line sets and seal with steel wool and silicone or if the gap is to big low expanding foam. At the gutters seal with galvanized steel flashing to close any builders gaps & screen gable vents with 1/4" hardware cloth you can get about $75 a gable vent. Seal any soffit returns (converging roof lines) if you get on a roof please use rope and harness. Set traps appropriate for the animal and monitor for 4 weeks. If you provide that level of detail you can typically a full wildlife exclusion is $1500+ most exclusion work takes 2+ hrs of work
