Yeah I don’t think the connect would qualify for the cargo Van jobs. A lot of em are pretty big items. I wouldn’t even wanna go less than a medium roof cargo van

Technically with the apps they just require basic full coverage insurance but likely your personal policy wouldn’t cover business use so you’d have to check with insurance. Some people risk it but at the end of the day gotta make an informed decision that’s best for your business

Yo brother so right now I’m utilizing a bunch of apps for on demand type delivery in my local area and then I am also finding some jobs on Shiply and others smaller load boards. Haven’t gotten my own authority yet so I haven’t been on DAT really booking loads or doing OTR work

@@JourneyWithCameron Would you ever be interested in starting a expedite carrier with someone. I used to have my own company but had some medical issues. I know where a lot of loads come from and how to grow a small fleet of independent contractors in order to just dispatch from home. I used to do local and over the road work in a cargo van for many years. I have a lot of contacts in the industry. I just don't have the health to purchase a van and get cargo insurance on it but would like to work with someone who has a van. We would have to form the company, get the insurance and wait at least a year before carriers will take us on as partners, then another 6 months to a year slowly building a reputation. But the money we can bring in once established is huge. I have money to invest too. I have no issues working long hours as long as it is on the phone and computer. I know about load boards/sources you have never heard of before. One of us will run dispatch while the other takes loads to build our reputation and to recruit drivers.

@@zeljkodjukic5889 Yoo so it’s a 2015 Ford Transit Medium Roof. It’s the wagon which is why it has windows all around, was originally a passenger van. I bought it used. And yeah I’ll make a video talking more about the FedEx contract

So most the apps like GoShare or dolly don’t require it since they have both covered while you are on a job. Shiply doesn’t verify but they give you the option of listing the cargo insurance you have. I definitely recommend doing it right and not taking the risk.

Personally, I’d go Cargo Van. Rates are higher on all the apps and you have more opportunities outside of these apps. And nope no CDL required so just a regular license! Atleast that’s how it is got me in AZ. Always double check your local area
