I can confirm, the closet's audio is the best I think we've got so far. Edit: Love that the threat of Monkayyy makes people careful and keep back just long enough for them to realize it's a combo deck and fireball meets face.

He was playing around the counterspell. Banefire can’t be countered, Crackle can.

Breaker was also lethal, unless they had a Counterspell, which CGB was playing around. Crackle doesn't play around a Counterspell either. CGB bet that they had a Counterspell, but no other instants, and he just happened to be wrong (although maybe they had both).

@@Maledicus99in a funny situation though a counter, though it doesn’t counter the banefire, still gains them the life which means that banefire needs any instant including a counter to be beaten while the other options need to be countered not that other really mattered though since you’re right they probably just had both

Beginning of video me: "wow wtf CGB, that's SO many hoops to jump through to do one kinda cool thing!" 13 minutes in me: "OMG THEY TAPPED OUT, OMG DWARVEN MINE!!! AND HE'S GOT ASHNOD'S ALTAR!!!! I like how the optimal commander for this deck is ragavan not because he contributes to the combo in any way, but because his sheer presence dominates the opponent's first four turns.

Not the biggest fan of alchemy (quite a few cards could've easily been printed) but Caldera Breaker was one of the very few that I looked at and immediately loved.

Hilariously enough the closet is by far the best sound. Doesn't really surprise me tho; closets have been the budget sound booth of choice for a while now. Definitely a fun deck!! It is nice that like, because you need 6 or so mana to pop off with the Breaker, even if the combo gets eaten you can still play most of your cards and you draw almost all gas; that last game showed the resiliency of it, even if Rusko was playing way too cautiously and not trying to *end it.* Sometimes blue players get blinded by value and forget to win, it happens.

Your unconcern at 46:00 was unfounded. If it did specify a target, they'd have to choose the target when they're putting the ability onto the stack - and if they can't choose a valid target for each instance of the word "target", they can't cast it at all.
