10 and a half minutes. 4 castels. The most he can spend on one is around 2:50 minutes if the intro and outro TOGETHER can be only 30 seconds long. So 3 minutes in is about just on schedule
watching joel get more confident about his building and being so proud of his builds is so nice to see (also being super ambitious and giving us good content lmao)
Honestly, diorite is so underrated. It's 100% my most used accent/texturing block. It works so well with blocks like white concrete and white terracotta. It also really provides that contrast for blocks like you said: granite, spruce wood, or even brick
@@callumyoung7785 he’s one of the bigger channels now, so it doesn’t really make sense to leave him out. Maybe he was invited but rejected it, so he had time for other series.
Imagine if Joel took every build he ever made and put it into one world and made a map out of it. As well as the Minecraft map, but also a fantasy, old looking map resembling Joel’s fantasy world would be amazing!
Next minecraft update: We have made a new mob - The Joel Can be tamed with spruce wood and when tamed it will automatically kill chickens It can also build anything for you if you give it any block in the universe
Every MCYT is different, you watch what you like. You don’t have to be talented at building to be good? Also a lot of other people build like GeminiTay, Foolish & Grian etc
Joel, this is genius! What a fresh and cool idea! That sounded so disingenuous but honestly, this is such a brilliant video and concept overall. I love it. Your building style is so detailed and just lovely.
I just wanna cry at how much Joel has grown, building wise. He is such an amazing builder and I’m just so proud of him for branching out and trying new build styles 🥺
Just watched the 4 elements castle video from 2 years ago and it’s so cool to see how far you’ve come and how talented you are. It’d be super cool to see a transformation of that video with some of the new blocks that have been added!
Dripstone castle looks a bit like how one might imagine Redwall to look. Less rectangular on the outer wall, sure, but still it has that dusty sort of pinkness the sandstone was described as having thanks to the granite bringing in the rosy warmth of the build. Calcite is my favorite, though! As much as Deepslate is very dim, and muted, it looks good. Tuff was also really nice; love to see that fully furnished in an adventure map as a questing hub. Still, imho, Calcite is the best! It truly does capture that bright, sweeping airiness of palaces inspiring this style build.
this inspired me for my castle :0 mixing the layout of the calcite and and tuff blocks, and adding some elements of the deepslate castle, this is very inspiring and i love the castles you designed! :)
You should make a challenge where you get someone to do the insides of your builds. You could also assign a theme to each castle, and whoever does the theme the best (and makes it look good inside the castle) would win. What they would win, I'm not sure. Maybe since you do a lot of survival servers you could have the prize be you build the winner something? It would also be fun if you made the theme something other than the main look of the castle or building. Like for a creepier-looking building, you could have the theme be 'cutesy.' This is just an idea. Here are some ideas for themes for the castles: -Creepify the calcite castle -Modernize the dripstone castle -Make the tuff castle cuter -Make the deep slate castle more friendly (Vacation friendly)
Joel please put the world download in the description! I'd love to check these castles out myself and maybe copy them into my own world. That would be really helpful!
The Calcite Castle actually looks like a Central European Castle, both in color and in style. It's the best looking one of them. Not that accurate to castle construction but still good looking. Also reminds me of Swedish churches. You should take a look at some 12th century Swedish Churches, such as Finja Church or other churches from that time period, they're quite different from most churches people know today.
