In this video, I share with you a recent sewing project of mine and some recent fabulous Half Price Books deck finds!
I took some time off of RU-vid to get reacquainted with my sewing machines. I had some lofty sewing goals set for this summer, but for various reasons, I got no sewing done. Hopefully, I will do better with my fall sewing goals!

Your dress is beautiful! Perfect for the summer temps! Thank you for sharing your beautiful decks. I have the ‘Pixie’s Lenormand’ deck and love it. I read the deck was drawn using Pamela Colman Smith’s style of drawing. During her mid teen years, Pamela Colman Smith took art lessons in New York from a very talented Columbia University art teacher whose home was in Ipswich, Massachusetts. Ipswich is located on the ocean and I was married there. It’s a quaint New England village. The beautiful Crane Estate is on the ocean in Ipswich who are the makers of the ‘Crane’ toilets. The actor, Chevy Chase is a relative whose real name is Cornelius Crane. Isn’t it fun that a little Pixie Deck has a backstory! Also, Pixie is Pamela Colman Smith’s nickname. Hence, the name of the deck. I love this video! Thank you so much! 🧚‍♂️

Oh, Barb! Thank you so much for that bit of history and backstory. I love historical antidotes! I don’t think I ever knew Chevy Chase’s real name real. Cornelius is a grand old name that hasn’t been used in many decades. In fact, I think it was pretty much out of vogue in The Baby Boomer generation. I’m really enjoying this Lenormand deck. I’m currently using it while working with Rama George’s book!

They haven’t had that much new come in lately. It seems like they had a lot that was sold in by a couple of sellers selling off their decks. For a while, there were so many choices!
