Hi! I’m Bonnie! I’m so glad you landed on my channel! I’m a 50+ happily married mom of 3 who left the Mormon Church 10+ years ago and have recently come upon new realms of spirituality. My discovery of the Tarot in the past couple of years has been instrumental in helping me heal from religious trauma.
On this channel, I do a lot of Tarot and Oracle Deck unboxings providing information to the viewer that will aide in making a future purchasing decision. Along with other Tarot related content, you will find content on evolving spiritual paths, and discussions on aging.
One of my favorite quotes right now is by Oscar Wilde, and he said “I’m not young enough to know everything.” At this time in my life I certainly understand what he meant! At this time of life that modern society deems as irrelevant, I’m finding new discoveries everyday! I hope you’ll decide to come on this journey with me!
Hi Bonnie, hope you are well since this last video! I just watched all of your declutter videos and enjoy your thoughts on collections and what stays/goes. Would be curious to see where you are at with your collection and mindset now :)
Hello! Thank you for reaching out. I’ve slimmed down my collection considerably since I’ve last posted a video. I’m at a point in my life where I’m reevaluating what’s important to me and my relationship with stuff. At the moment, I’ve stepped away from my daily tarot pull and journaling practice because I’ve noticed that my writing and self perceptions have gotten darker. I’ve been working with a psychologist and have been diagnosed with some learning disabilities and have been very down on myself as a result. I thought I would be able to give myself some grace after finally getting some answers to questions I’ve had for years, but that hasn’t been the case. To make a long story short…I’ve stepped away from tarot for a bit, but I don’t think it will be a permanent situation. As far as my decks…I’m keeping my favorite collage and old art decks that are on cardstock that I enjoy working with. Thank you for asking 😁
@@oldsoulmermaid1543 Thank you for your response! I feel I am at a similar point in my life. Hope you are continuing to take care of yourself. It is definitely a journey with ups and downs. Best wishes to you as you continue navigating :)
I have two first edition copies of the Lua Tarot, the Lua Lenormand, and I have the 2nd edition Antiquarian Tarot. Maree Bento produces wonderful decks.
there is a real art to a good walk-through to allow the cards and the viewers to breathe and you've got it. I've got a question, the six of cups just seems to be a scene with cliffs and no animals almost like they've forgotten to paint one in, what is your interpretation of this card in the deck?
Actually, the card just as it is represents true nostalgia for me because it does look very much like a happy place of my childhood, so that fact that there is no animals depicted hasn’t been an issue for me 😁
I'm not sure if anyone has this problem, but my cards aren't all the same size (I have the mass market version). When I lay the bottom edge on a flat surface, I can clearly see some cards about 1mm shorter than others. It is quite annoying especially when shuffling, the short card easily get stuck behind the longer cards, making me feel like I haven't gotten a good shuffle yet. The place where this deck came from doesn't allowed return. It is unfortunate. The unevenness is such a distraction.
hi i know im realllly late for the party but do you myb know if there will be any reprints of the mermaid one its the perfect size and the art is breathtaking, i have been looking for them for a while, ty for your time
I don’t know if the deck is available from the original creators, but I found this: www.pmtarot.com/m/showproduct.php?p=10319&lang=eng&/Tarot-Deck/Limited-&-Indie/Sirene-Tarot
I’m actually reading with this deck right now! It pairs wonderfully with so many of my tarot decks. It’s a favorite, but you never know…things could change 😁
Has Divine Muses gone Mass Market? I only see the French edition on Amazon. I would definitely get the mm version of Divine Muses too! I love that deck!
The original of this deck is kept at Yale University, it is Grimaud from 1930. There actually are such numbering and such colors were used. except the shirt
Thank you soooo much for this video…. I have this deck and I totally love it…. I just recently reviewed it on my channel and enjoyed it very much. I will subscribe to your channel and will keep watching for more videos…😊
I just re-followed you (sorry I left many months back!) because I'm interested in any of the things you mentioned - I started my own tarot channel and like you I'm not one for a lot of unboxings (tho I do like to watch them occasionally) so I've been trying to create a space that's just "me" and hoping to attract like - minded folks (I swear I'm not trying to advertise myself 😆). I grew up in Utah so I know what its like to live amongst Mormon culture. I always find it fascinating to hear others' experience around that. Point being, I'm excited you're back and hope to see you around TarotTube 💞
Just seeing this! Thank you for your unwavering support! Thank you for your thoughtful and kind words, and much valued opinions!! Sending so much love to you! Yes, Antiquities of Magick Kickstarter was a tough one - we started printing smack dab at the beginning of covid when the world shut down 😭. Thanks for your patiences and for sticking around. I appreciate you! Big hugs, Jillian 💖
You need your time of birth and the birth chart has been sooooo deeply illuminating & healing for me - I understand your hesitation to take on an epic task of trying to find it in your moms stuff, but if you know it’s there - in my opinion, that epic quest is worth it. Great video! Thank you 🙏🏻 ❤
True, you do not have to spend a lot, plus, for the mass market ones, if you wait for the right time and/or get on their newsletters, Llewellyn, Hay House, so on put on sales every so often. In the #BadEconomy, the sales help some of us. This was a nice idea, thanks for sharing. I may try to give it a go. Paz y amor.
This seems like a very personal deck and it will be hard to share. The person I heard about this deck she said she loved it, but it was very personal. I should have really listened to what she was really saying. And I wish I had seen this video first
The Hanged man is actually Lewis Carroll himself I heard someone say in the deck review. Also, Alice is different ages as she is older in the second story 😍
Fun videos to re-watch. I just love your energy. I hope you do come back to creating tarot content. If you ever decide to let go of the gold Botan tarot please think of me. ❤
Thank you for this lovely and thorough review of these 2 wonderful astrology decks 🤗🙏I'm usually less drawn to a slightly romantic, dreamy art style and take, but as an artist myself, I appreciate Lily's art a lot and am in total awe of the love she poured into creating this absolutely gorgeous deck and guidebook. The fonts used in her book match that romantic, dreamy touch, but they can be a little bit harder to read at times eventually compared to the more modern fonts used in Claire's book. Claire's cards showing photos of our sun, the moon phases, planets, zodiac constellations, asteroids might allow for a more direct visual connection to them and memorising their image so they're easier to recognise when seeing them elsewhere. Both sets seem to be absolutely fantastic learning tools to dip your toes into astrology. I'm actually torn between the two 😅So ... Order them both ? 🥰😁✨
I don't collect tarot and oracle because I need another tarot deck - I buy them because I love the artwork and it is like buying an artbook - there are worse addictions to have so maybe just enjoy what you have
I’m curious if you now understand what this deck is all about after studying it, reading the book and working with it. I actually don’t use any other tarot deck anymore. It’s revolutionary and on point. Once you read the book and work with the deck and your intuition, you’ll totally understand why the creators made this deck the way they have, including the ordering of the majors and the meanings of the cards.
A wonderful video, I might do a VR to your video 😊 Do you have The Unfolding Path tarot? It features 80% of people of colour. It is absolutely amazing, I did a full review of it if you by any chance don't know of it. 10/10
I definitely don’t need my decks to match aesthetically for them to work together… generally it’s the contrast I want… otherwise I’d just use one deck 😊
Me too! I’ve re-homed most of my oracle decks as I don’t use them as much as tarot, but the ones I’ve kept are favorites that seem to go with everything.
Im late to this party, but i got this deck recently. It IS its own system. A deviation from tarot and a deviation from cartomancy. Also, its definitely a system so its not oracle. But it can be read using all three types of system. So... not a beginner deck, but its lovely and reads well once you learn its system.
So had TMM for a while along with the oracle. Now ordering Dreamkeeper Tarot and the Divine Nature deck. Those my last purchases lol I bought quite a few this month alone😌😅
No talent! All of those colorings are absolutely beautiful. You have an incredible talent. I’m so glad you came back to you too. I loved watching your videos and I look forward to watching more and seeing your talent grow. ❤
Aww 🥰…you’re too sweet. I am, of course, comparing myself to all of the wonderful colorists here on RU-vid. Usually, watching amazing abilities like they have would make me want to shrink back in my little shell and not even try, but in this case it really inspires me to “give it a go” because it’s so darn fun 🤩!
I backed this and received my set. I was most interested in the shadow work set. I really love how the simple line drawings really capture the feelings. I’m excited to dive into the journal.
I’m a new subscriber, and I haven’t finished the video yet. I’ll edit and add as I do lol. I didn’t back this and I don’t plan to. The art didn’t really stick out to me and the changes to the titles are a bit too far. Even though I have the Wildwood and Druidcraft tarot, idk this tarot just goes too far for me. I would be lying if I didn’t say it absolutely gorgeous and well thought out, just not my cup of tea. Ok the oracle deck guide book is great! I think you were thinking of The Spirit Animal Oracle deck. I wish I could have that deck with this guide book. I do have the Nature Spirit tarot (in a soon to buy list), the Druid Animal Oracle which I think fill the same spaces as this deck. The shadow work deck is unfortunately not my cup of tea either. Once again though it is sooo well thought out and well done! I’m no where near ready to do shadow work again and with a deck like this but it is such a good tool, that I would recommend it to others.
That’s a fair assessment. The renaming of cards often throws me off and because of that I don’t have too many decks that verge off the traditional, at least as far as the titles. I’ll have to work with this tarot deck a bit. But man…it is beautiful and vibrant!
Let me know if you backed this set or plan to! Also…if you found this video helpful or enjoyable in any way, please consider hitting the subscribe and like buttons! This is a long video, so please use the time stamps included when short on time. You can also let the video play out in the background to help the almighty algorithm 😜. Thank you 🙏 in advance!
I’m new-ish to your channel and have enjoyed watching your recent and old videos alike. I’m glad you are still making videos! I know I’m still catching up, but I’d love to hear more about your current tarot practices, your spiritual journey as you’ve left Mormonism (ex Baptist here), and how to deepen your tarot practice. I’ve been practicing tarot three years in earnest now and would love to hear your advice. ❤
