What an image and a great story I think the old farmer will be pleased to bits mate with your image, as one thing I know is farmers do love the night sky John, we had a great encounter with a couple of friendly farmers last new moon 🌙 and they mentioned the sky.

What an awesome story and fantastic gesture, John. And always so much fun to come along with you - thank you for sharing. The memories and experience are always key for me, so some shooting locations naturally become special to me. I’ll always have a deep connection with Arctic Norway after seeing the aurora there with my wife - just the happiest and most awe-inspiring moments that are now completely interconnected with that part of the world.

Another fantastic image😲, I did try and have a play the other night but failed miserably (too many beers😋) I wonder if you would mind stepping us through how you mount a single camera setup via a ballhead, V or Z bracket & index pano head in a future video, I noticed you have changed your setup from earlier videos and slightly confused in what order would be best and the steps taken. between shots. p.s. There is an old barn near Sth Durras on the Sth coast of NSW. I spoke to the property owner and sought his permission to shoot the Milkyway over it. He told me that he was sick of people just turning up and jumping his fence and light painting it and not asking 1st. He also told me a lot of history of the barn. I arranged a couple of prints for him and delivered them to him a few days after I shot it. To say he was blown away was an understatement, he was so appreciative

Another epic image and video John! Do you know the names of the different nebula? I think that you've captured the gum nebula on the right but I can't work out the other 2 near that. Kind of look like California Nebula but I don't think they are.

Awesome image (as always :D ). Yeah, I get that part about being connected with a landscape, tho here is a bit different when you are surrounded with Alpine peaks. The nature really dwarfs you and reminds you that you are nothing. Its a great way to reset yourself and you can really feel like being part of the nature.

Hey John! I have the sky adventure GTi but can’t figure out how to attach a ballhead on it for my dslr. Would you have any mounting options you would recommend? I do have a ball head with a 3/8 inch screw but no vixen style plate

Big ass milky way pano, probably bortle 2 or better, heavy metal tunes and likely cracking a beer or 2 while contemplating the history of this place. Must have been quite something man 😎. The end result is also beyond stunning. I was wondering, did you speak to the old owner and gave him that print? If yes, what did he think of it?
