On a side note, as someone who french is his first language, I'm glad they seem to have actually picked some voice actors for the pirates who actually know how to speak french. I might be wrong, but I think it even sound like it's their first language, so good on the devs team, they made their homeworks.

I can't get a grip on the facial animations. It looks like it's motion captured sometimes, but other times it looks poorly animated. Like all of Alex's lines are delivered completely blank faced. And every time you see Fliss, her mouth is hanging open like her teeth are too big for her mouth.

the lag in this game is nuts on pc and console. if u wanna restart the section i will still like you

I am very uncomfortable with the characters walking everywhere with no shoes on.

The premonition informed you that the pirate has a gun and will shoot you if you motorboat off. It was useful, you just have to be super sharp.

jack you dont have to do this, but if if you really want, you should replay the gameplay to get conrad alive because its worth it. up to you though, good luck !

Cool detail i noticed, in my playthrough Conrad survived and i was playing as him while trapped on the boat, i didn't get a translation when spying on the thieves, but since you were playing as Fliss (who can speak French) you got one.

I love how Sean said "ow my glankles" which originally comes from one of his coolest series subnautica

Honestly hope that jack goes back and plays through with Conrad like he did with the dead characters from Until Dawn

So I came back to watch this after watching him play through House of Ashes, and just wanted to point out that the expedition into Iraq that went missing in the newspaper article Fliss finds in their holding room on the ship is the same expedition that you find diary entries from in the temple during House of Ashes. Some really neat forward planning from the studio on that one.

Conrad is an important part in the story i think you should restart the section(you dont have to)

They've released the game too early, there's so many issues with lag and volume. I hope they pull it back and update it.

does that QTE with conrad actually work? or is it like... a fake one to give the player false hope? i've seen 3 other people do it now and every time it's failed, and every time they always swear they pressed the correct button. (and they don't typically miss QTE's and claim they did it right, it's always very stand out with that specific one)

The "SS Ourang Medan" is a ship that wrecked at sea in which the crew died of mysterious circumstances in the June of 1947. Apparently before they sank, they sent out a SOS saying "All officers including the captain, dead in chartroom and on the bridge. Probably whole of crew dead. I die." Since then it's become a bit of a legendary Ghost Ship

Did some research, there is an alleged Ghost ship myth of a ship called the “Ourang Medan” Ourang meaning “Man” in Malayan and Indonesian languages and Medan being the largest city in Sumatra, the ship’s name in english is “The Man From Medan” either the game had bad translators or just a different translation. Now the story is that a ship found The Ourang Medan from some s.o.s they found, and when they boarded it they found nothing but horrible corpses all looking terrified. Now it’s important to mention that the ship itself went missing at about 1948 or 1949 (about the same time those American soldiers from the start died) and that according to one myth, the ship’s route was from a port in China just like in the game. I have a theory that the group is just going crazy, like when Fliss saw zombie Brad, and Brad attacking for no reason, more to add to this theory is that in one myth, a survivor of the accident said that the crew was carrying either Sulphuric Acid or an unknown substance (at the start of the game before the two Soldiers woke up, there was a mysterious liquid dripping out of a box) and then all of them got poisoned, so in my theory that “mysterious substance” possibly sulphuric acid was turning them crazy. Have to mention though, one of the premonitions had a military chopper land, this could mean that there’s actually zombies and scary witch people OR they’re there to possibly contain said “Mysterious Substance”

In defense of this game, they actually asked native french speakers to do the french parts. As a native too, I can tell you that these sound (almost) natural.

I hope jacksepticeye restarts the gameplay I kinda like conrad and I feel he’s gonna miss alot from conrad’s perspective but oh well it’s his choice really but I really hope he does restart it

For those (like me) that are watching this and don’t know what the Dyatlov Pass Incident is, it’s a name given to the situation involving the deaths of nine skiers/hikers in the northern Ural Mountains, in the former Soviet Union, between the 1st and 2nd of February 1959.
