It’s made with the lifting rod of a Bosch jigsaw and an M6x80 bolt. The lifting rod I used is part number 1619P12765, and I found it on eBay.
I added a better grip to it with 2 knurled sleeves, found on AliExpress. Their size is 12mm OD x 6mm ID x 30mm. They were each drilled out to an ID of 8mm, and friction-fit on the shaft of the lifting rod.

Thanks for a more detailed look at this one. Surprised Leatherman is the only multitool maker that incorporates T shank usage into their tools.

Brilliant, just brilliant…Thank you for sharing your awesome idea with the world. You could get a pretty successful side business assembling these. I only wish I had thought of it first. I currently carry a 12” Bahco 32TPI hacksaw in the unlikely event I would have to cut something metal. I have Kevlar for cutting plastic and my SOG PowerLock multitool for small cutting tasks. Keep up the good work!

Very creative. Please consider making an equivalent handle for a reciprocating saw blade.

Great little EDC hack. I built this based on your part list and have the following comments/cautions. The jigsaw lifter I ordered from Bosch has a total length of 115mm and an M6x80mm hex bolt is way too short. You will need a 110mm bolt for that length. Also, the end you insert the saw into does have a slot but the inner barrel is smooth so there is nothing to register against internally when you turn the saw blade opposite the insertion slot. Tightening the bold does hold it in place though. To use an 80mm bolt would mean you would need to cut and shorten the lifter. Its cheaper to find and use the right length of bolt.

Can the lifting rod be cut shorter, and have it still work?

I see that you're newish. Glad to sub, something you're doing is right.. my recommendations showed me your page. All i can say really to help is don't go with these bright colored background thumbnails. Use more 'cool' colors. Easier on the eyes id say.. but not bad man pretty cool
