Leslie there's a baking tool that makes the cakes bake evenly and they come out without the rounded tops. It's basically a fabric belt that goes around the cake pan on the outside. You soak it with water and it helps the cake bake evenly with a flat top. Look for Wilton even-bake strips on amazon
