In the second installment of our series of building an A.I. RPG App, I take on the exciting challenge of creating an A.I. RPG app prototype in just 24 hours! Inspired by the engaging mechanics of RPG video games, I aim to bring that same level of motivation and fun to real-life tasks by creating an app that generates epic quests.
I'm documenting this ambitious project's planning, development, and testing phases. From brainstorming ideas to overcoming development hurdles, I'll share the highs and lows of this intense coding marathon.
The app is designed to assign and track real-life quests, rewarding users for completing tasks like in a video game. You'll get an inside look at how the prototype functions, including a demonstration of its core features. I'll also discuss the feedback received during the initial testing phase and outline my plans for future improvements. If you're a fan of RPGs or just interested in innovative ways to boost productivity, this video is for you.

Cool concept man! I ran into your project while looking for ideas of how to gamify my own life. I like where you are headed here. I think the importance of the quests being generated as opposed to set-up on your own(which I think is what kept me away from other kinds of project) is a big key to what makes gaming fun. One of the things I have been thinking about on this topic is how to make the rewards more like the immediate dopamine hit that games give you...not sure how to do that yet but I feel like it's also important.

100% agree! It’s a concept I don’t think any of the other apps have figured out yet. I don’t get the dopamine hit from checking a box on my to do list, but I do get a dopamine hit from accomplishing a task and it automatically getting checked for me.

@@josh.mountain Yeah I think that is a vital factor in making an app or program that will really POP! I am still brain storming how to implement a feature that is responsive immediately like that.

I'm currently looking for an app/desktop application like this. Less surrounding boredom but rather to get a more compelling feeling of accomplishment? I wanna feel like and RPG character, leveling up. Hopefully you will continue with it, bc I NEED IT
