Your next "quarenteen date" should be Transylvania. There are so many options. Bloody Mary's, garlic bread(lol), Rob could be Dracula! You could tour Dracula's castle virtually.
My husband is also on immunosuppressants and has a heart condition. We haven’t left our apartment in about a month. It’s a bit disheartening. Thank you for the video and stay safe.
christy davis i haven’t left my home in a little over a month too to keep myself from contracting anything and risking the lives of people like your husband! I hope people can realize how serious this is. We need to stay home not for ourselves, but to keep others safe.
HeartAndSeoul same here, my family and I haven’t left our apartment in who knows how long now. Kinda missing the outdoors but anything to keep ourselves and others safe. Am i right 🤩
In my opinion, kneading by hand gives you a better result, you have much more control over the dough. But that doesnt mean that the Kitchen Aid isnt a good option! Some people just prefer to knead by hand
At the beginning she could have used it and kneaded by hand once the kitchenaid can't handle it anymore since the dough looked like it got very tough. Wouldn't want to break the kitchenaid.
Jeremy Maynard you are right! Over kneading dough such as in a mixer can make it overworked and make a more hard and chewy texture so by hand is worth it
Hey Corinne, we met at Asheville after five a few years ago and I live here as well. I work medical so I’m still working. If you guys needed me to help you guys get groceries or anything please let me know!! Thank you for staying home and safe :)
this is why I’m triggered when people go out for no reason at all during times like these. There are people in this world like Rob are have weak bodies or weak immune systems and are super vulnerable to viruses affecting lungs. Like it might not be serious if you catch it, but you could spread it to people who may be in contact with people who are vulnerable.
Same :/ my nail salon lady told me her story about 3 customers coming in making a scene about not wearing masks and later she caught covid..that was January and she’s still weak. She was out of work for a month and couldn’t move; like no strength no energy and super weak along with other symptoms. I felt bad for her. She’s a single mom with 2 junior high boys and is trying to make it thru each day. The women who came in don’t have any respect and honestly how are you going to go against another business’ RULES posted on the door and just demand they serve you?! It’s crazy; ppl are selfish and just don’t care.
You should “visit” Disney world, since that’s where you were supposed to go anyway AND as an added bonus bring Cristine and Beeeyyynnn with you, virtually of course lol it could be epic!
I love seeing rob with his light in his eyes again. He seems to be doing so much better i hope things are as good as theyre protrayed. Both of you went through something so traumatic and its his recovery is so amazing. I hope youre recovery has been great as well!
Options for you to think about. Spain for paella and more red wine Japan for sushi and sake Mexico for tacos and margaritas China for dumplings and bubble tea England for bangers and mash or shepherds pie and beer Latvia for potato pancakes I tried to think of things that you haven’t made (like poutine or macaroons). Thank you for still upload videos and cheering everyone up during these weird times. It’s going to sound creepy but I truly enjoy seeing you both try new things and get a glimpse into your lives. Be well friends!
Over the past couple of years I’ve been watching this channel, and slowly seeing the subscriber and view counts for down. I just want you and Rob to know that I look forward to every video you upload, I love the content, your senses of humor and the love you and Rob share. You’re both amazing and I hope you never stop creating. Wishing you both good health!!
Something a bit different: How about an International food challenge...with Christine via Zoom!😁 Throw a dart on the map and make a dish from that place.😁😁
Since my dad also has cancer for groceries we just ask friends when there goin and they drop off stuff in front of our house....then we grab disinfectant and disinfect all the groceries....then we wash our hands with soap and use hand sanitizer👍
Thank you Corinne for several things: Being you, loving & putting up with Rob, showing us that bread making doesn't have to be terrifying, & finally there are resources to help any of us mentally leave our places of quarantine to enjoy the beauty in the world. I wish I could figure out how to hook up my computer or "cast" the virtual tours onto my late husband's 55" Samsung Smart TV which no longer has the RU-vid pairing app. If anyone out there can help, I would greatly appreciate. I've actually been bedridden for 3 years, only going to doctor appointments occasionally.
Maybe a google chrome cast or amazon fire tv stick would work? I have both since my tv isn’t a smart tv and that way I can stream netflix, RU-vid etc on it! Or maybe you can connect your laptop to the tv with a cable, my dad has done this before but I haven’t, so I’m not entirely sure how to do this
Hey! Home bread maker here and wanted to offer some advice: never add you salt to your yeast water, only your sugar. Add the salt with the flour or it could kill your yeast. And your dough seemed really dry. My ratio when I make bread is two cups of warm water to about 5 1/4 cups of flour. Still a good job!
When I heard you say that the days are blurring together it made me think you should try bullet journaling, I started doing that to help me keep track of the days and what I do each day, also its just fun to put together each page and use your creativity for it.
"Don't leave your house" I wish so much I could stay home during this time, I'm always very afraid of catching the virus but unfortunately I am considered essential as I'm a grocery store Cashier.
Not to contribute to bad news or anything, but it's a good thing that you guys didn't come down to Disney World. Florida's pollen season has been going strong for three months now, and it's already gifted myself and everyone around me with horrific sinus and respiratory infections. This has been our worst pollen season in several years, and Rob wouldn't have been safe down here. Count your cancelled trip as a blessing and stay safe, guys.
Rob grew up in Miami and the trees and grasses there don’t effect him as much as the ones here. We are usually at about 11.7 on the pollen scale everyday, 12 being the highest. Miami is significantly lower on a daily basis. But ya, glad we didn’t go for many reasons.
Go to "Italy"! Making pasta is next on my list and it includes most of the same stuff as bread. It also gives Rob a chance to make middle finger pasta lol
When you're so dedicated to helping Threadbanger through this difficult time, you don't skip any ads, not even a 2 and a half minute one about being an "Amazon Seller"!
The first ad I'm sitting through is 18 minutes long on how to break fast diet tips. I want you to get paid well! Staying safe here on day 19 of social distancing in California. Love the kitty content 🖤 Blessed be xo
Needed this! I was literally typing “make me smile” into the search bar last night and was disappointed. This popped up on my feed this morning and it in fact, made me smile. I’d love to see your next date be in....Germany! Happy quarantine 😬🥰
I just want to say thank you Corrine for making this video I never write comments but this video deserves it. Your taking a hard time and had a brilliant idea to do a virtual tour of France and make a dish and I think this video is amazing. The concept really moved me. It’s a smart idea and it sends a good message to look on the bright side and make do with what you can. Again I say thank you for this video and I recommend doing Germany it’s not a very talked about country and it would be cool if you guys did a virtual tour on it🖤🖤🖤🖤
Serious question: Would you guys ever consider moving for Rob's health since Asheville has such intense pollen? I'm allergic to trees and pollen so I can't even imagine being in Rob's shoes in a place that has intense pollen seasons. ;_; You guys stay safe! ! 💖
Garnet damn I hate that for you. my wife has to take Allergy shots every month and basically live in doors during these months here in Arkansas the pollen covers everything in a greenish hue. She sneezes ,eyes waters and sinuses go crazy. She can’t go to the stores because of all of this.
@@MARKE911 oh my gosh that's just awful! I feel so bad for her!! I used to take allergy shots several times a week when I was younger and had access to healthcare. No fun at all especially if needles creep you out (like me lol)! I'm very lucky I haven't had too many severe reactions to things that didn't get "fixed" with some benadryls and nap time. My most severe allergies were both found by accident when I was prescribed a penicillin medication by a dentist (couldn't stop swallowing incessantly for days) and another time when I tried a clam for the 1st time ever after living decades avoiding seafood because it gave me "bad vibes" haha (face swelled twice the size). Thankfully I don't see much pollen where I live (and I'm also a homebody so I rarely leave haha) but I still get mild reactions from food that just grows on trees. 😱
its my time to shine! haha, same here dude. im allergic to pollen and GRASS. its gotten so bad i can make myself sneeze on command because if a sneeze doesnt come out its quite intense pain for me. my nose bleeds frequently and sometimes i wake up to bloody pillows since apparently my nose decides to bleed when im asleep sometimes haha. thankfully, in my town we only get intense heat. im talking 125 degree (or 55 if you go by C) so i dont struggle with pollen too much (unless its allergy season of course)
You need to listen to /read “will my cat eat my eyeballs?” From Caitlin Doughty she does a series here on RU-vid called “ask a mortician” and she is amazing, like you 😍
Make more videos please !! You’re my only source of joy!! I’ve watched all your episodes like 4+ times!! Corrine your jokes never get old !! I love you!! Rob you have beautiful art talent!! Make something with things in your home. Or online order supplies.
This may or may not be helpful to you but I am allergic to pretty much everything outside so spring can be a little rough. I ended up buying some air filters/purifiers and put one in every room that I use every day. It doesn't totally get rid of any allergy symptoms but I do notice when they are off. You may already have filters like me but I thought I would share just in case.
Hey! Just wanted to say thank you for including farmers! Not many people remember them, and my partner is still working hard on a farm every day so the animals are looked after and people can still get milk and stuff. Stay safe ❤
😂 I was dying laughing when Corinne said “You would make some really good compost....” I hope your both doing alright in this craziness, stay safe. And thank you for mentioning our health care providers and delivery workers. My sister is working at Sacred Heart in Spokane and I worry about her every day. They are all putting themselves at risk every day to be able to help as many people as they can. I don’t think we can thank them enough for what they are doing💕
I just love you both bread for hours 3 cups flour 1/4tsp. Yeast salt tsp.2 cups water warm mix it its sloppy wet .leave it set two hrs bake 500 degrees 15 min. Lid on 15 min off
I work at a Sobeys and the amount of items we’ve had to put a limit on has been crazy.. even though we have a lot of bread we’ve sold out of yeast within an hour of receiving it. On that note though, would love to see what you guys come up with next, was very excited about the bread making when rob mentioned it in his vlog
Watch this while eating toast from bread I made myself. I was actually able to find a loaf of store bread and it doesn’t even compare to home made once you’ve had it. I cant go back to store made now. Home made is just too yummy!!
Hi! This might seem like shameless self promo but it's not hahaha...I have a radio show all about arts and culture and I've been posting on twitter a lot about the things related to arts and culture that are made available. You should check it out, I'm sure there'll be at least one thing I mentioned that you'll like 👍 It's @CiTR_ArtsReport on twitter and @artsreportcitr on instagram :)
THIS VIDEO MADE ME SO HAPPY!! I've been stuck at home for three weeks now and this video just UGH SO FUNNY! Love you Corinne and Rob! I'm also so happy that Rob sounds so much more healthy and strong! Thank you guyssss
My husband is immunocompromised as well; early February we thought it would be okay to continue our dream trip to Tokyo. Two weeks after I got sick with a sinus infection; no fever; but as an essential worker; a therapist; I was told to stay home since going to Japan a month ago. With severe Anxiety issues, I applaud you guys for staying home as long as you have. This is serious. Keep being awesome. The two weeks I had to stay home was awful; but Is even worse since going back to work.
I'm glad you're both safe! When I start getting cabin fever, I put some music on for a bit of a dance and it seems to make both the kids and I feel much better.
I actually have a friend that is an ER doc in Asheville. I know she is working tirelessly so thank you for staying in and encouraging others to do the same.
Girl!! I have been WAITING for this video since Rob said you were upstairs making bread!! I searched the internet high and low for yeast and when I ordered groceries from Aldi they had two 3 packs!! That shit is as rare as toilet paper these days 😂😂 but there are so many recipes and videos for making bread and idk where to start. So now I'm going to have to make these loaves today!! I'm so excited 🤗 I'm so glad to see you post today because I cannot watch the news anymore...also, my husband would make great compost as well 👀😬 he is driving me INSANE lol! After this quarantine, there will be a lot of babies and divorces...and maybe some bodies in the back yard...jk haha 😬
Bonjour from France (Nantes) ! It is quarantine over here too. So that is much better to visit Paris from your home for sure. Good luck to all ! Oh ! Et la soupe à l'oignon, c'est trop bon ! 😉
I work in health care and have a few ladies I work with that I have so much love and respect for that are from Syria, Albania and have family from Jamaica. I would love for you to do videos of their countries. It would be like experiencing a part of what makes them awesome. Diversity and love makes these ladies the best. ❤️❤️❤️ Stay safe witches 🌻
I know I'm way late, but LOVED this! Plus, in many cultures, slurping your soup means a compliment to your chef!😂 During our quarantine we've had a 5.7 earthquake, (March 18), with hundreds of aftershocks. Including two 4.2 aftershocks just a few days ago. I live about four miles from the epicenter. Yay. Stay safe and sane!
Croatia! They eat sausages, rice, their own bread pita-like things, seafood, and sweet honeybun type pastry. They also have a LOT of pizza places and great tourist sites and world heritage sites to "visit".
I made bread out of expired yeast cause it’s all I had and it worked just fine. Also, I’m so glad you uploaded. You and Rob are my favorite youtubers and this shit is stressing me out lol. It’s nice to have a break
I'm going to say this everywhere I can, because the continued ignorence, disregard, stupidity... is driving me mad. The sooner we decide to use our brains and stay indoors, unless you're are an essential Service employee, the sooner we will get to return to our normal lives. The longer we defy this, the longer it will be. Simple. Just do it!!
Hey, Corinne! May I give you some piece of advise for the next time you make bread again? Once you shape the loaves, let them rest for another 30-40 minutes in a warm place so they can leaven before you put them in the oven. This is for the center of the bread to develop more little holes, so your bread is softer and spongier. I say this because when you made the soup, the bread seemed to be very compact or solid. Hope you guys are safe and keep taking care of yourselves! ❤️
Check to see if it bubbles in warm water and sugar. Don't add salt yet, that will kill it. Also, create a starter dough so you can keep making loaves. (Local restaurants here are allowed to sell groceries, and ours has flour for a decent price.)
