This is a popular type of ie cream in turkey. We also cook sahlep in milk and drink it with a little bit of cinnamon in winter. Mastic is very popular as well, you can use it in all kinds of desserts(I even like putting i in sparkling water, it has a very nice flavor.).

They seem happier together now! It's nice to see

FUN FACT : The "μαστιχα" (mastica)thing is a gum like substance witch comes from mastica trees it is only produced in greece and it tastes very nice!

Salep in Albanian and Turkish or Salepi in Greek is what we call in Egypt > Sahlab, is one of my favourite drinks .. it's weird to see people try something that is so normal in your daily life for the first time, and describe it as a completely different thing to what you're used to (scent and all), we also call Mastic > Mesteka .. as to this type of Ice Cream it's Called Booza in the Levant and Egypt, or As the Turkish people call it Dondurma or as The Greeks may call it Kaimaki. Love how this Region's kitchens are highly comparable with slight differences as you go any-which way on the map! 💜

It's really a popular thing in Turkey we call it "Maraş Dondurması".And İt has a special game that the ice cream seller makes to you.If you come to Turkey you can see it in some streets. And the "Salep" is also a hot drink and it's a tradition in Winters.

In Turkey it’s called Maraş Dondurması (Marash ice cream) You must use goat milk to make it. And the finished ice cream must bend the spoon otherwise it’s not done properly. 😄
