He used a prebuilt engine and literally traced already made assets. He pretty much gave a program nice CAD designs and said "PLAY LIKE HALO" and it played like Halo. I bet he could get as far as making another ElDewrito.

thats the best part of engineering. You just do it, it doesnt matter if its good or not, or even if you know something about it, just get the job done

I mean what he did was alot different from making a actual game. Like bet most developers on those games could do this tbh.

@@Leon-qn3kb Exactly. Most of the time, software development is slow, mostly because long term maintenance requires prior careful planning of the structure of the program. Otherwise, each update would increase the likelihood of bugs and make it harder to modify. If one only plans to compile once and launch a software without future maintenance, then it is considerably easier.

He'd probably take even longer. He doesn't have to worry about side quests, a main story, or creating new assets.

It's a cool video and all but tbh that is something anyone with decent skill in the field should be able to do in around 48 hours.... espacially considering he used UE while Rockstar and Bethesda do both have their completly own engines that they tweak with every single new release

Definitely going to try and add more, especially more enemies and weapons! Vehicles are fairly easy to add so shouldnt be hard to get a banshee in the game.

He's not that skilled. Nowadays, it's rather simple to slap a few assets together and produce something playable. It's hard to perfect it, which is what gaming companies do. I don't think this guy could pull that off with his current skill level, which is perfectly fine. I'm highlighting this because many talented developers aren't appreciated enough by far
