The game crashing actually makes sense, due to how mysterious herobrine is.

Really cool improvements. One thing I will say, it would be cool if herobrine would disappear if you had him in your direct sight. Meaning he could only be seen in your peripheral sight. I like all of the features of this mod, but it would be cool if changing difficulty could slightly adjust the mod. For instance, peaceful would only be long distance sightings, while, other modes could make him more aggressive.

In minute 5:09 when he said “ I didn’t program that” in my head i sad: man you did not created a mod, you just re activated a code that was sleeping there

I never thought of Toiu as Gru, but as soon as he said that, I saw the similarities.

I’d love a version where he doesn’t actually affect gameplay, but instead you just sometimes randomly see him staring at you in the distance and that’s all he does so I could mess with my friends and gaslight them lol

when you sleep in a bed and he appears you should have it so you stay in the bed and he looks down at you for a moment and disappears... It'll make it much scarier

Heres a few Ideas: make Herobrine capable of spawning anywhere at any time but if outside of his biome he will try to lure you to the closest cursed forest, make him able to knock back players in creative mode, have the forest trap the player within its boundaries, have him break blocks and pick up items and "craft" weapons with them, like if he gets a bunch of wood and is standing near a crafting bench he makes a random wooden tool and if you are wearing armour of a similar or weaker tier he will try to kill you quickly before disappearing.

I would like to see more variety in the Herobrine structures, like random torches, rooms inside mountains, or signs with cryptic messages, i think their need more weirdness while exploring the world.

This mod is great! The only issues I’ve gotten so far is when playing on a server, multiple herobrine spawn and he opens and closes doors constantly, up to every 30 seconds.

3:12 "sometimes after you go outside your house and close your door you will come back to it and find that it has been opened by someone this is a pretty rare occurrence though it shouldn't cause too many issues" i literally saw the door open on my face, and the door has been opened a lot of times for me, so it isn't rare

I would love to see a more phycological and driven out version of this mod, personally the forest spawning as a biome seems weird and I think it would be so cool if a normal forest eventually just lost leaves. And wouldn't it be sick if he was more stalker-ish and as your progressed through the game it got more terrifying, like he was deliberately messing with you rather than just flat out killing you.

When we get afraid there is some kind of tention but When herobrine casually show himself it releases so make him more mysterious and hideous. And even when he show himself make him quiet unnoticible.

@Toiu I just played the mod and I wanted to say thank you, that's exactly what I've been looking for, it's awesome!!!!

Does the mod still play the message “herobrine has joined the game” when you load into a world? And can he spawn certain structures every now and then? I know there’s little “jump scares” some times like when you kill a mob or sleep. One bit of feedback I do have is to not make him roam around as much when he spawns. The staring from a distance and spazzing around and attacking is perfect, but Herobrine doesn’t usually move or walk around so much when you see him. He usually almost seems to move around only with teleportation, standing still and staring directly at you when you see him. It could be like a weeping angel type mechanic where he roams freely when you aren’t looking at him but stares at you still when you look at him. It would be even creepier if it was programmed so that Herobrine ALWAYS stares at you when you see him from a distance, as well as having a chance to vanish if you look too long (or even instantly on occasion, to make you second guess if you saw him or not). It would also be cool if when you were underground in caves, there was a random chance to hear “double” footsteps, like someone is following you, and when you stand still it stops. Even better if there’s a random chance for little hints to spawn such as signs with mysterious messages, or glowstone letters like in the original mod. Sorry if the comment got a little bit long, but this mod looks great and this was my feedback on it.

It would be so cool if Herobrine only had a chance to spawn when cave sounds were played, but it's a small chance, so every time you hear one, it's extra scary

This is great. One thing I would do is make him appear and disappear when he is out of sight. It would be a lot more suspensful if you didn't know he was there until you saw him when you pass a tree or turn around. Make his presence less consistent. I remember Herobrine sightings being something that was rare if they happened. And when he was sighted, he didn't do anything then disappear. Also throw in some events that add an extra challenge. Maybe some time where mobs don't spawn or plants don't grow.

You need to give the player incentive to go into the modded biome by giving it a use, like increased diamond frequency

I tried this version of the mod, thinking it would be fun and a little scary. Buuuttt when I tried it I nearly had several heart attacks while seeing him walk amongst the trees. And ohh nooo don't even get me started on his biome. Eeekkkk great job, cause this mod is a great one, but maybe not for the faint of heart. Great work!

Srsly on the first video I watched of this awesome channel I almost left cause I thought he sounded like one of the people who have random minions and like, among us characters while crazy crap happened. I watched any way and now love it! First video I watched was the most recent four vids where he would re-textures creatures. Specifically number 3.

I would love more interactions in the world. Like block placed in the world, sign appearing with thing written on them. Well a lot more interaction, not just a entity than mostly spawn the night. Even know the interactions you can have with him are interesting. I'm really trying to find the best possible herobrine mod with one of the newest minecraft version.

Could you try to code one that was just terror. No jumpscares, nothing like that. Just subtle things, like blocks missing, maybe like see herobrine in your periferal at very, very rare occations, like in fog, or dark areas. No scary sounds. Just like, the feeling of being watched. The fear of herobrine for me has always been fear of the unknown, like the fact that he could be lurking, somewhere in your world. Watching you from just behind a corner. Would love a mod like that haha. Oh and also great video I love the video style. :D

I made a modpack called Haunted Alpha which is a look-alike of alpha from 2010, including this herobrine mod. I also included the herobrine seed map, which was converted from type 1 chunk, into type 2, then type 3 and ported to this modpack.

Hey Toiu I tried and loved this mod. As a user I just wanted to request you to add something. 1. Generating more structures by herobrine. 2. Make him do more jumpscares. 3. Idk if he spawns in every biome if not please. 4. Identify players house by using location of bed, chest and doors. And doing some insane but not harmful (just scary) stuff there 5. And lessen the killing. 6. Just make it even scarier. 7. AND YEAH MOST IMPORTANTLY KEEP JUST 1 HEROBRINE JUST ONE!!!

He should add it where when he is sleeping a bunch of Herobrines surround him with cave ambience. Herobrines face to flash on the screen randomly when close to, as a feature to happen instead of Herobrine just attacking you in the daytime. He should add more biomes too where it's just on fire and for villages to be abandoned if that wasn't already in the mod.
