4:32 That's good to know. I bought some of that clay earlier this summer for a negative 3d Printed mold I made. I know I'm going to have to smooth it out.
Steve's foam clay is freaking amazing. I've tried a few other brands but always come back to his. It's the best. I never thought to make prosthetics with it, though. Thank you for expanding my tool box, Britt! And thank you for sharing with us! You rock!!!
The Washington Midsummer Ren Faire just had a Baldur's Gate 3 themed afterparty this weekend (hosted by Astarion), was wondering if I might see you guys there with your Karlach cosplay
The ears look great! Fantastic work! If you have run into any difficulties with Pros-Aide and trying to get your full ear into them while its tacky, for my Zandalari Troll cosplay I found it was much easier to just slip the ears on while the Pros-Aide is wet and hold it till it dries. They still stayed on all day and I didn’t have any issues. That was with foam latex though so I’m not 100% if foam clay is porous enough to allow the Pros-Aide to dry while on the ear, but maybe worth a try if you end up needing glue on the tip and back of the ear to get them secure.
It does seem that the foam clay was a tad dry when you used it. I've never had it break apart like it did when you were kneading it. Also would account for the short working time.
