I loved in particular how you left some mixture on the mixer blades for the chefs secret tasting. Once again I will struggle to find some of the ingredients, but since strawberries are now grown all year round in New Zealand, I think I need to make strawberry cake more often. Hello! I didn’t add sugar, but the cake mix, the strawberries, and the gelatin already have plenty of sugar. It was perfectly sweet. I saw a variation of the recipe that mentioned if you use fresh strawberries instead of frozen, you should add half a cup of sugar. I hope this information is helpful. Thanks for watching! 🍓🍓🍓

You’re very kind. The gelatin is for flavor (and color). If I were going to substitute it, I’d put some freeze-dried strawberries in my blender and use the powdered strawberries instead. I made this cake and it said to cook it for 45 minutes and use an angel food cake pan. After 45 mins - the dough was raw and the angel food pan literally vomited the batter on the cooking rack. I was so so sad!
