With each error, you gain knowledge as they say.

Every video you create fills my heart with joy and laughter. As a game developer myself, I deeply resonate with each piece of content you share.

yeah, everybody forgets at some point that while loops halt the game's process. if youre using a while loop, you can await get_tree().process_frame (or physics_process_frame) so it continues to run with the game. quite useful for making small , one-off functionalities without having to use _process()

This is the best. Watching you go through those little errors reminds me that it's normal for it to happen

"That was some of the worst programming I have done in my entire life" had me laughing. That's so relatable - we all go through phases like that. Glad to see you're not vain or afraid to admit you're human :D

Your videos were randomly recommended to me. You deserve a lot more subs, your video quality is just so good.

yeah, totally agree with this. These short frequent ones are great! i would like some longer ones, too though, covering more complex subjects or more content.

These devlogs sliders are good. Keep them coming. Question though. How you prepare video for this? Do you just record the entire coding session or you recreate them instead?
@BrosMakeGames
@BrosMakeGames 5 месяцев назад
record everything. otherwise you'd lose that 'realtime' vibe i think. I'll do some minimal voice over if I need to make something more clear or succinct.

@@BrosMakeGames how long per recording? I imagine it gets big. Though it might because on how I develope. Around 8 hours of footage? 20?

Man have I been there 😂 Have you done (or will you do) a video on your state machine? I’m curious about hour you’re implementing that.
@BrosMakeGames
@BrosMakeGames 4 месяца назад
possibly. we don't really aim to become a 'tutorial' channel, but I think I got my general state machine structure from a GDQuest video, maybe check them out.

nice! my only question is why is there a frog with a gun fighting a bird with a gun? also its so crazy that hours of frustration because of bad code or dumb bugs can be summed up in two minutes

tbh I have no idea where this game is going so just using some pixel art I had lying around from other projects. just focusing on making it fun then will figure out the other stuff later.

static types in GDScript or C# and pretty much all your errors go away--just sayin'. Great video though! I'm just starting to learn the power of state machines myself :)
