I made The Spot REAL!… and a teddy bear🖤🧸 Spiderman across the spiderverse! 

The head on this one isn’t terrible, just more square than I intended it to be lol! But you are 100% right, it ended up being kind of a happy little accident!😁 I’m so glad you like my work! I hope to put out many more fun videos for you all to enjoy!💛

@@sewmicahidk if it’s weird to comment again on this video (I like rewatching crafting videos while I crochet or do homework and yours are quickly becoming some of my favorites to rewatch lol) but I wanted to say that with the Spot’s design in the movie, the long arms read more as a design feature than a quirk!

@@dragonfire7965 aw, well thank you! I’m glad you enjoy my videos enough to re-watch them here and there!!!😁 I don’t know if I ever said the lanky ness was a quirk? But I for sure always saw the entirety of the spot’s looks as a design choice lol! I actually wanted to be a character designer so I know a bit about the language of character design! The spot, design wise, is so freakin interesting! It can be so fun to analyze and break down the details! To me, the whole lankiness of the character for the first part of the movie is played as a goofy “doesn’t know where all his limbs are” kind of thing. In the second part it definitely reads as spooky, creepy, lurking monster. It’s so cool how they were able to change the whole vibe of him without really changing anything about the design of the character! (Besides, of course, the color swap and sketchiness of the spots later on!)

I actually got the mad scientist outfit for ANOTHER upcoming video! It just coincidentally worked for this one too!😂 And thank you so much! If you’re someone who likes spooky season (like I do!) then I’d keep an eye out for some new spooky plushies coming to my shop October 1st!😉

I’ve learned SO much since making this video and changed SO much too! (Even my camera and mic are better now!😂) I hope RU-vid doesn’t recommend these old videos to TOO many people lol! I’d never delete them, buuuut they are definitely not my best work VIDEO wise. Plushie wise? Still relatively solid lol!😂

Fun fact actually! In one of The Spot’s earlier comics he does indeed have a visible face structure and nose through the hole in his face! It isn’t a detail in atsv and tbh the design looks way better without it, but it’s fun to mention anyway

That is a fun fact! I was indeed modeling the bear off the spiderverse version but it’s always fun to hear about alternate universes!!!😂 (I’ll admit, I definitely like the No face look better for this guy!)

@@sewmicah I think the atsv Spot design is the best one tbh, it really suits his personality in the movie and is very visually appealing. A lot of his previous designs were downright bizarre

Too true! Honestly, I almost made TWO spot bears (one white with black spots, one black with white scribbles) because I loved how the design changed from goofy to creepy without really changing at all! I unfortunately just didn’t have the time lol! Maybe some day though!
