states that only has to focus on 1 or 2 fronts have an advantage in the early game, the main goal is to survive. Since maine only has to focus on 1 front it has a huge atvantage to other that has to focus on all around
I thought for sure it would be Washington or Florida with how things had been going. Maine could have been a good candidate, but they spent so long taking New York they never really got to snowball early on. But then mother nature came and wrecked both Washington and Florida, leaving Maine the only one left with any real strength of the corner states.
I’m not going to lie, I was way more invested in this than I should have been. I have this game and I like to mess around with it from time to time. This was very entertaining so thank you.
Maine was the luckiest as they had a nice choke point and unlike Florida did not have a powerful neighbor, their population was always above 200 for the entire game. While the rest of the states were slogging it out Maine just took the opportunity and swept in
maine has WAY less attackers, so maine has a huge advantage in the early game, and it can grow land and population steadily so eventually in the endgame the other states it captured will destroy the surviving independent states
Go Washington D.C.!(note, that’s basically just Maryland in this contexts as we are always grouped up with Maryland and Virginia, and Maryland is where all of modern D.C. was taken from after Virginia took their land back in the civil war.)
States that only have one border have a HUGE advantage in this simulation. Maine was able to just fight New England and not worry about anything since everyone else had to fight multiple fronts.
It’s the second quarter quell. 48 tributes/states enter. One leaves. Maine survived as victor like Haymitch by dodging her attacker’s weapon and fending with a kerosene or blubber lantern.
yes but you failed to consider/add in the fact that there’s a good portion of those populations that are homeless, eat each other, do off the wall drugs and all other sorts of stuff…
what if this was done again but the Rockies, Appalachians, and the Western deserts were included? and the north was frozen maybe? and the rivers were included (Mississippi, Missouri, Ohio, Red and Colorado)?
What I see really happening would be a unification of like minded and well armed states, namely the United States of Tornado Ally which would span from North Dakota to Texas. We would have more reason to unify than kill each other off.
Don't most of the border states keep most of the domestic military supplies? No offense but it probably doesn't matter if you have 3 shotguns, and 5 handguns per person if the other guys have actual assault rifles, and armored vehicles.
Nah us Mainers don’t actually eat lobster that much. We just make everyone else eat our lobster, but once you’re part of us you don’t have to anymore lol.
@@mrhappy623 Fr? What DO you guys do then? All we do is get caught up in left wing politics, watch tons of Baseball, and make fun of other states are like Florida and Texas for their high gun violence and incest rates even though were honestly not that much better than them.
Yeah it's fine that you combined new England together. You should probably have let Massachusetts have their own state, just to cover Boston. (I live in Connecticut)

Im from California and not gunna lie, i was getting pretty nervous when Washington was like 1200 more people than California at one point, but then the earthquakes happened
