@@RedNomster you definitely gonna need forge water update for that hahaha it blows my mind that they havent put in flood a.i. or water effects in.....not to mention the fire effects are just downright awful and a downgrade from halo 5
@@RedNomster do it! I'm about to start diving into forge. I'm a web dev so it's the graphics side of things I'm worried about and not the scripting. Your stuff looks amazing though. Is it possible to do what you're doing on xbox forge or are there certain things only doable from pc?
Not going to lie man, of all the Halo Infinite videos I've seen, you undoubtedly are the best at creating incredible atmospheres. Its just insane. You are masterful.
This is amazing. The complexity and versatility of Halo Infinite's forge mode has completely changed the game. I'm convinced the Halo community will remember Infinite's forge and whats come from it for years to come.
This aesthetic holds so much true to the original game compared to all these over the top Unreal remakes. Amazing job, wanted to forge this myself, but crashed without saving kekw.
I did something most unreal versions didn't - I built the original n64 layout first (flat polygon walls and ground), then added detail to that. Look at the sharp edges on the pond, for example :)
From what I can tell, you are carrying Halo Infinite's forge mode on your back. It now belongs to you. I hope you are ready to make every single multiplayer map from other Halo, CoD, Destiny, Goldeneye, DOOM, etc. games. You are the best I've ever seen at this.
Holy cow, another amazing map. The attention to detail is spot on, and the work-around with the water really sells the effect. I wish they would add water tools/water volumes in Forge, though.
Truly amazed by this. I see people comment on other videos showing the blank canvases and they think it’s all forge is. I keep seeing them say “I wish they had forge world”, ”I wish they had water or snow”. Wish you could edit terrain” I’m like go watch this guys videos. 343 is either not marketing right or something cause it seems most don’t realize just how good forge is.
I think it's a mixture of players underestimating forge, and 343 themselves underestimating forge. Sure, there's a few missing features, but Forge has always been about using the tools you have to build anything. I can build water, snow trees, literally make forge world from reach 1:1. Those aren't what's stopping them, it's their imagination and passion holding them back Those features would save time though lol
Holy cow this phenomenal! Please release this even if you don't add anything else. If only we had custom sound effects like Little Big Planet 2 on PS3. I can imagine them in my brain now on top of your map in Forge it would make it nearly perfect. This and Forge are mind boggling impressive
Huge thank you for all the script and trick techniques man. Helps all forgers out there. I’m glad we have a community where everyone shares how they built what they built and doesn’t just keep their ideas secret ♥️
It's wild how fast you're putting these out. These are awesome! I love that they're more than just good looks too (The Deku Shop models are great), and that you put more thought and design into it like implementing Navi. Great work!
Thanks Tipsy! I actually made this in 2 weeks - there was 1 month between videos because I was on vacation, and also made a simple scene from Lord of the Rings which took some time. Might upload a short for that later on :) But all my smaller projects and updates are on my twitter if you want to check them out!
DUDE!!! Every creation you make is just sheer quality! I can’t get enough of the immersion you bring and I absolutely adore your attention to detail! It’s seriously so impressive how good you are at forging AND scripting! Your brain is MADE for forge, I swear! 😄
Time to make a 1:1 creation of all of Hyrule now! Fantastic job man. 10/10. Although if you do decide to come back to this idea and make a public version of this map with full interiors I do have one suggestion. In the shop in the actual game there is a small dark alleyway just to the right of the shopkeeper's stall inside the building. I don't think the map as it is in this video has that. Could be a cool place to hide a hidden weapon or something.
using caustics on grass is actually such a simple yet genius idea! it actually looks great and very mystical, really nailed the look there. amazing work!
I used to play a lot of Forge on Halo 5 so I see the techniques you used like the water effect. What is cool about Halo's Forge is that this is potentially a fantastic tool to introduce people on the game industry, specificallt in the level design and problem solving. Props to you for these fantastic maps!
Forge has truly given us a brand new horizon of custom map making and it shows but you showcase it so perfectly with Maris like this. Having Navi fly around is so cool and actually made me realize here that chief and link are kinda the same. They’re both in green and both have a guide to help on their journey and are both considered heroes lol
Absolutely incredible job you've done here mate! What really shines through with your commentary is just how much passion you approach everything with and the joy you have with the little details that really make a map special. I can't wait for forge to be out so I can simp hard on your maps. Amazing as usual!
7:38 you didn't remember what that item was. It is the Deku Seed, you use them with the Slingshot as "ammo". Nice work on this, especially with the items. Nice little touch with Death Mountain in the background too.
There's a lot to marvel at going into this video. The grass, the textured concentric circles for the flooring, and so on, but what I'm immediately most curious about is the butterflies.
Amazing job man. Your attention to detail is unbelievable. I’m pretty sure an entire team made the original map and you did this by yourself. Awesome job man! It took my breath away seeing this map in such detail
When people say "limitation breeds creativity", this is exactly what they mean, and it is true. No water in forge? Get creative! Reminds me of the cool things people would do creating StarCraft 1's custom games in order to create the Tower Defense and MOBA genres, when the tools were so primitive and limited. Gotta really use some ingenuity to get it to do what you want!
its amazing how people can slap a couple of stolen assets into unreal engine use a couple stock shaders and bam nintendo hire this man and then theres you you made an amazing looking creation that actually DOESNT crap all over the artstyle all in halo you chad you
Omfg you really just gonna make all my fav childhood memories like movies/video games in my fav game ever (halo) Lol can you have a 4v4 or something on the Zelda map
The more I see the incredible stuff the forge community has been able to make in this early build of forge, the more it bothers me that it wasn't available at launch. More 20 million people tried this game out at launch and only a fraction of them will have enough interest left to go back and check out all of this awesome community content :(
Every time I try to make even something basic in Forge using primitive shapes, I get texture issues, crashing, and other bugs, but you're still able to make gorgeous masterpieces. I can't give you enough props for your dedication and patience. Also it would have been funny if you made Navi spam "Hey, listen!" in chat
I bathe in the bugs, I am become bug. Luckily this map is mostly grass and rock, neither of which can physically bug because they don't have material options. Toy story on the other hand 😅 Also - use floor standard instead of primitive cubes for your cubic building needs. Only has 1 swatch, so it's less for the game to confuse, and quicker to materialize. If you duplicate an object, try not to ever delete the "parent" object, I find that's what erases the material most often November can't come soon enough 😩
