Well, technically from the bee’s perspective, he was on his way to his Queen boo’s crib and said giant semi-quasi crunchyman got in his way and the sting was in self-defense. 😂
if you do NOTHING the bee can wriggle free, the only thing is... it takes quite some time. like a few minutes. waggle, then clockwise waggle, then counter clockwise waggle, then clockwise. Essentially a combination lock 🤣🤣
I love how Crunchy Dad is simultaneously learning more about being crunchy, but is sometimes still frightened by the lengths a Crunchy Mom will go to 😂
I swear their only purpose in life is to be annoying and spread diseases. I know that they're pollinators in very wet environments, but I refuse to believe it 😂 The only way is to use eucalyptus citriodora oil, they should stop attacking you. I need to finally buy it, but there's even patented repellent based on this oil that's barely processed, so maybe there's something in it.
Technically he is unlikely to have harmed the bee anyway. Only honeybees die when stinging as their stinger gets lodged and in an attempt to get free their tear their body apart. However honeybees are extremely unlikely to just randomly sting someone unless the hive is being disturbed or you're near it, while working you're just another thing to ignore
I couldn't remember offhand so I had to look it up - "Sunflowers give off a chemical compound that inhibits the growth of beans, making them incompatible plants."
Ok - this is definitely something out of a horror movie. That devilish chanting and the fact that Emily is holding that trowel so threateningly...😮 But, yeah - it's hilarious all the same!!😂
Bumble bees and carpenter bees have smooth stingers and are capable of stinging multiple times without dying. Fortunately, they are both relatively docile species. For honey bees, on the other hand, stinging is typically fatal. This is because, unlike other species, honey bees have barbed stingers.
also in the Americas, honey bees don't actually contribute to polination significantly due to not being native and being unable to polinate many plants such as peppers and tomatoes
Honeybees are actually less aggressive than every other type of bee and tend to only sting when threatened And even then their usual tactic is swarm, bumbles will very...very aggressively defend their hive They can also sting more than once, just larger animals (like us) tend to get the stinger stuck so to free themselves they rip themselves You usually won't be stung by one (a honeybee) though not out in the field at any rate
@@death299 There are over 3000 bee species in North America, I don't think it's fair or accurate to say honeybees are "less aggressive than every other type of bee".
Meanwhile my in laws just sow random seed here and there everywhere throughout their garden 😂 even sunflowers. She just take a few dried heads from last season and whacks it as she walks along, letting the seeds fall anywhere. It’s like a giant salad of a garden, and everything grows. So much produce every year, they give so much away to friends, family, and neighbors
@@cassidyjay9160idk what her reasoning was but sunflowers release a chemical into the soil that prevents other plants from growing to eliminate competition.
I want to hear Crunchy Mom's thoughts on the problems with bee mono culture and the way "saving the bees" is getting used to greenwash all kinds of products.
You walking at Jason with the shovel chanting is like genuinely a little terrifying. Also I'll always say this I love how your kids are in your content but we've never seen their faces. They're in it what seems to be by choice and not forced to help which is rad
I, too, am a bee murderer. It landed on me and I was trying to gently brush it away but nooooo.... i made it mad. RIP lil bee at the waterpark trash cans. 😢
LOL! My husband taught my daughters that we should keep dandelions growing rather than picking them because the bees LOVE them. A few weeks later, my dad was out weed eating, and the screams from my children were bone-chilling. "Grandpapa! No!!! The bees will all die! You're killing them!!!"
Can you make one about not mowing the lawn 🙈 I didn’t speak to my husband for a whole day because he mowed the lawn right after I got done pointing out all the bees in the yard. “The neighbors have plenty of dandelions in their yards, the bees will be fine.” I don’t want them in the NEIGHBORS yard.. I want them in MY yard!! 😑
Oh I thought this was going a completely different route I thought she was going to be excited that he got slung my bee because their venom has cancer fighting agents! 😅
Correct me if I'm wrong Emily! Sunflower seeds have what's called an allelopathic chemical - it's one that inhibits growth in an area. The two plants that are the most impacted - meaning their growth is completely stunted if sunflowers are growing nearby - are potatoes and green beans. This chemical can help keep the weeds down, but it can also limit the growth of the plants you want. Pole beans may be your best bet if you want to try planting them together and I've heard it's best to start the beans from sprouts.
I’ve watched this so many times, and each time I’ve watched it, I hope that crunchy dad will actually get some assistance from crunchy mom to help with his bed stung.
