I have a '22 750. It's just you and the bike, no meddling electronics, just an old-school sport bike. Exhaust and a tune, braided brakes lines... simple upgrades that really liven it up. It's an amazing machine that will launch you to nosebleed speeds in a heartbeat or two but is still nimble in the twisties, without costing nearly as much as an electronics-laden liter bike.

@@jakejudson8578 It has training wheels built in though, it’s called ‘B Mode’ 😉 …And plenty of people have learned to ride on fast bikes. On this bike, you have to get the revs up pretty high to make significant power, so if you combine the lower power mode with keeping the RPM below the power band, there’s no reason someone can’t learn on it. If someone really lacks the sense to ride within their ability, and not be riding 100+ MPH as a new rider, then they shouldn’t be riding ANY motorcycles yet. I had a friend who, at 16 years old, wrecked his Ninja 250 and had serious injuries, while doing about 65MPH in a busy 45 MPH area. Totally avoidable if he had more self control to ride within his ability, and the smaller “beginner” bike didn’t save him. In recent years, the internet has gotten obsessed with this idea of mandating small displacement bikes for beginners. It’s a good idea for most of the stupid kids and man children who make up a decent portion of the population, because it’s better that they can only go 100MPH instead of 150, but there are plenty of people who learned to ride on overpowered monsters because they simply had a respect for the power of the machine. Not to mention, the OP didn’t even say anything about this being a first bike.

I have owned many 1000cc sports bikes over the years including Suzuki, Honda and BMW, and last year I bought a GSXR750. It might sound silly, but for me it's the most fun bike I have owned for road riding. Just love that you really ride it, with higher revving and gear changes and flicking into corners . Enough power for quick rides , but you just have to make the bike work harder which is all part of the fun. Thanks again for all the great videos.

Hey man. Just wanted to give you props for taking a break from the socials comments sections. People suck on the best of days. You're putting a ton of effort into making excellent, educational content and that's appreciated. Folks can take it or leave it. I appreciate your content and efforts to try and help riders be better. Just recently picked up a 2005 Yamaha R6 and it's been an interesting learning experience sizing up from my Ninja 250R. I'm glad I took beginner rider courses as well as cornering courses on track to really feel confident on the little bike. So much of it was transferable to the 600. Just have to continue to get used to the ergos and the weight difference. Low speed maneuverability is hilarious on the 600cc super sport but I need to get out into a parking lot more to get comfortable. Will be using your drills to nail that down. Thanks again.

I have both bikes haha. I love them both. The one that people really sleep on is the Gixxus.... that thing LOVES to shred and it's so usable for the street. I've compared it to Street Triple's and other competitor bikes and to me it handles better than all of them except for the Duke 890R.... but the Duke doesn't come with indestructible Suzuki durability so.... The Gixxer750 is a legend for a reason. It carves corners better than almost every other electronic assisted modern sport bike.

People talk up modern liter power and tech and etc... yet most advanced riders I know have taken a step back and prefer a basic 600, or one of these and we all say the same review that it's so much more visceral and fun and tbh... I have one of these bikes and to me it handles WAY better than say Triumph Speed Triple RR or MT 10 SP or any hyper naked even with the tech and etc. This thing was dialed perfectly and Suzuki had no point in updating it and actually still producing it they give one of the only true analogue sport bikes on the market. That deserves credit.

I have done 500kms(300+ miles) on it quite comfortably. So many road bikes these days are way too track focused. That little Suzy is what road going sport bikes need to be. It's not surprising that they are popular. Part of riding a bike is being able to synchronise revs, do clean clutchless changes etc,.... it's a skill that many riders these days seem to lack.

Exciting! Even though at the rate you swap bikes, I can see the S 1000 RR could be in your garage before the year is over. Also, The (BMW) Force is strong with you.

Ive ridden nearly everything, and theres a reason even 1000 riders end up on the 750. Its so light and nible, lighter than most 600s. One was caught on radar at 183mph on circuit! They are no joke. Once in a while it gets a genuine "holy shit" out of me when the power hits! Wouldnt trade mine for anything, i had the budget for lots of the newer 1000s, but the 750 just rides better and i dont need crap electronics causing issues for me.

7:38 you can drop or move back the pegs about 2cm. As a taller guy I dropped them and they are still higher than I would need on 99.9% of corners. Well unless the 2023 model in USA dropped that possibility mine is a 2018 in Au.

Keep it all simple 1998 Blackbird CBR double x 1000 bikes of today are not as attractive as the 90s thanks for the honesty about the wind without a fairing you feel the difference

The only super sport I’ve ridden is a 2018 GSXR 600. I read and watched a ton of reviews of people saying how uncomfortable sport bikes are. With the GSXR 600 I disagreed with that. While not FJR1300 levels of comfort, it definitely wasn’t bad like everyone says... I liked the GSXR a lot on the interstate as it cut the wind really good, and it had plenty of power…

It's a pretty old bike, but still there's no competitor to it. There was a Triumph Daytona 765 - but there was not much of them produced.
