"I forgot to save the footage I shot" said no film maker ever. I'm thinking there are copyright issues preventing using race footage. Casey just knows how to milk it just right!
It happened to me once. I transfered the files to my computer, then somewhow they were corrupted, but I did'nt know that before I deleted footage from my card. It sucked big time. Eithad was the big sponsor of the race also of Casey's trip there, so I can't see why there would be a Copyright problem. .
he didn't forget to save, the files corrupted during the transfer. but it doesn't tell that there was a failure so he didn't realize until later when he tried to use them.
@@IsaacRaine63 Yeah, real shame liberty didn't give him special permission to show some of the race at least considering casey's youtube presence would have been good exposure for the sport.
Another awesome video Casey! I get so happy when I see you´ve uploaded and the amazing Casey vlogs feeling is the best! Love you bro keep em coming, Much Love from Sweden
@@TonySDesigns Man, you have only one video uploaded with 56 views and 1770 subscribers... If you are going to buy subscribers, at least buy views as well.
I thought he fked up by stating the fact all the terrorists who killed Americans on American soil on 9/11 were from Saudi Arabia but Saudi Arabia isn't on Trump's travel ban list. LUL
@@samgerers I remember watching these vlogs years ago and wondering if Casey was single handedly responsible for all the restrictions we now have on drones. That guy crashed a drone almost every time I saw him fly one.
Jim Dupont hahaha glad it wasn’t just me who caught that!! That seriously is dope though cuz u know the 6 time world champion F1 driver watches his videos!!! Kinda surprised he didn’t say what’s up after the double take but I guess he was prob a bit busy and thinking about other shit b4 he got in the car and won his race!! 👍🏼👍🏼
i love these videos so much, I really hope they’ll become at least a weekly routine and we won’t have to wait another month or longer for the next one.
@@MianCowell Why would he not just come out and say so if that was the case? You honestly think he made up a story that only made the video worse, rather than just say: "Sadly I'm not allowed to show any footage from the actual race".
@@c0der1020 Because this bullshit excuse is better than saying those guys who invited me didn't allow me to show footage on youtube or they would sue me.
It's not banned to film video in a F1 race, I studied that last spring before vlogging in Barcelona GP. You can read about it on their website. Basically it has to be non-commercial and it has to be stated clearly that it's not associated with F1 (read below). "DISCLAIMER This video is unofficial and is not associated in any way with the Formula 1 companies. F1, FORMULA ONE, FORMULA 1, FIA FORMULA ONE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP, GRAND PRIX and related marks are trade marks of Formula One Licensing B.V."
Feel for you bro, losing footage is the worst thing ever. But you covered it really well though. I had something similar happen where I batch filmed 3 videos in one go left it before editing then wiped my card ready for holiday and forgot to take the 3 videos off beforehand...was livid. Filmmakers nightmares right. All the best dude.
He changed it because it was inaccurate, of course you can wear shorts in Abu Dhabi, just not in emirates palace which has a dress code so people don't look like bums there
I am very glad you posted this. Things happen and I try hard to avoid rating myself by my failures rather than successes. As a side Casey, Even a big erase in camera or on the mac will leave the data on the card. As long as you have not filmed more and filled the card it might still be there.
Sergii V f1 has their own channel. If people keep using it without permission, they will lose many views and ad money. It is copyrighted. F1 overall is more strict than any other sports.any other channel that you see that has f1 content, is just a random channel, showing random clips aka not important enough for f1 to care.
Casey c'mon everyone knows that f1 doesn't allows people to upload footage of the race on youtube, even at nico rosberg (an ex f1 driver who makes yt videos) isn't allowed to record the race. Are we fools?
The naming of the files and the statement of Casey that he deleted the files from the card to be ready for more filming also doesn't make sense: The files were numbered automatically and had numbers as high as 9980. If he'd regularly deleted files from the card, this would've meant that he has made nearly 10k takes that day. Casey is not an amateur, even in case of mistakes he would have had backups. Cameras in that price range always allow simultaneous recording on two cards or more. Long story short, he faked a data loss instead of telling us how it is: There are laws and restrictions that even he has to obey, and it's not just all fun, games and opportunities.
Tyler Wrage yup! Well my guess is he was able to fly drone for like 10min or less, did the editing where he said he was “yelled” at then show footage of some shots prior being caught.. dessert drone shot is fine becuase you wont violate anyone’s privacy
Casey I missed you brother so much,a big fan from India,,life was boring without your videos,a new video of your is life a great cup of coffee for me ALWAYS .. thanks brother to comeback..🙏🙏
It's almost 2020 and even the king of vlogs himself can't prevent losing footage. Technology man.. Makes me feel better about how hard editing video seems. Glad you had a great time, thanks for sharing what you had!
Anyone that is going to try to give him tips on how to recover the data, stop. He is rich, a professional video editor, so he knows what to do if the thing is really mess up. It is not a coincidence that the footage that was “lost” is the race.
Woooow there goes the video i was waiting for! I've seen you briefly on tv and i was "whaaaaat?" and then "wait is not allowed to record in any F1 track at anytimes....." (maybe this is why you don't have any footage?). Im sorry to hear you lost your files. I have been at a week of F1 testing this year and 3 GPs covering them for some website plus a Formula E race and some other events and my hard drive died last week. Im still in tears becausr if I can't recover that, my entire 2019 its gone :(
As a huge F1 fan, still dug the footage you had. Very cool. Used to go to Indy every year when they ran there. Was always an amazing value and excellent weekend. Miss it.
I really like your videos . You make make qualityful videos from many years with lots of hard work .I like your video quality and hard work . You give tremendous effort in your videos. Best wishes for you .
I stopped watching casey neistat for a few month, bit I'm now back and I'm loving the vlogs, I brings back memories of when I used to watch casey all day every day
I love Abu Dhabi, I lived there for 5 years and the city is breathtaking. Very safe, very clean, amazing culture, memorable experiences. One of the best cities in the world. Would love to be there again!
You are a very big inspiration on me you help me see things brighter you are really positive and you made me feel good as a person and in skateboarding😊😊😊
@@wamsam21 Actually, he had some trouble in New York. But he is still doing it, I wonder why. Everyone would love his vlogs even without drone footage. He is such a bad example for everyone who is thinking about buying a drone or flying with one.
@@JE56777 It is the fact.. There is no way to get the permission for flying the drone in the city if you are not following the safety rules - don't fly over the people, don't fly over the roads, maintain safe distance etc..
