If you watch the Pokemon anime I would be so happy. Also also if you don't mind the quality of the anime I recommend you start at the start at the original anime.
I hope this video gets enough likes for you to react to some if not all the rest of this enjoyable show, cause that would be a dream come true! I love your reaction videos man, keep up the good work!🙌❤️👍
Yea the Pokemon Anime is much different to the games when it comes to battles. while you could watch the entire series in order if you want to watch only a select few shows i would recomend the Battle Frontier, All seasons of Diamond and Pearl, X and Y, Sun and Moon and all of Journeys
First, he grew to love HTTYD, then he got into FNAF, and now he's giving Pokémon a chance. This really has been the year of character development for Cbloom. I'm proud of him. And I can't wait to see if he checks out more of the series.
If there’s one pokemon series you’re gonna love its gonna be XYZ. XYZ had the biggest upgrade from previous series when it came to animation. And it came out in like 2014 too
Xy and xyz was prime Pokémon in my opinion sun and moon was good but after that it became full plot armor and just one shotting and only 1 minute battles per Pokémon unless it became aces
Glad you reconized how awwesome the pokemon anime is. I would recommend Pokemon XY then XYZ. The story, characters, and battles is one of the best in the series. Esspically if you like a shonen anime feel this is the best one to watch.
The Xy and xyz series is where you should start as it has a great story , characters and animations. It has that feel of old pokemon but with new animations and more of a mature story.
THIS! This was the prime of pokemon when this season existed including the talk of the games. Personally I enjoyed the anime WAY too much than I did with the games
@@LucasHansen-uo7oh Yeah the games weren’t the greatest but cmon this season of the anime felt like an actual story. Especially the last episodes. This season had the best ending fight and ending in general
@@caterutunic3066 they all feel like story, cause they are stories💀 Ending fights yeah, but ending was generic, something we have seen before, ash spending the last time theres left with his friends then leaves while recapping his journey
If you really want to get into Pokemon, I’d first watch all the English and Japanese openings to get a feel for the series. And if your gonna watch it you have to start with the original series
Journeys is the series the last battle is from. Generally, the best thing would be to watch all of the seasons, but that would take a long long while. Generally, high on lists are XYZ and SM (and their attached seasons) so I think those two would be good to watch (Disclaimer though, they have a very different tone from each other). I'd also recommend the last 3 movies (i choose you, power of us, secrets of the jungle). They're set in a sort of AU universe and therefore dont really require any context from the series.
For context about why Ash (the main character) looks different sometimes is because each generation of Pokemon gets it’s own anime and Ash’s original design lasted for the first 6 of them before getting a redesign that NOBODY liked in the 7th anime (Sun And Moon) and then got 1 more redesign for the 8th one Of which is the final anime with Ash as the main character!
Ash got redesigned starting with BW. It’s just that BW and XY’s redesigns were way easier for a lot of people to swallow since they weren’t as drastic.
@@madnessarcade7447 tbh i still can't stand the SM design lol but they definitely fixed it with Journeys. still think his TPOU is the best design in the new animation style tho
Nah. The animation is much better than the previous few, but Diamond and Pearl by far is the best. Best character development with the best rival with good animation and battles as well.
@@dangerbuffrocky Then why not start off with the Hoenn region or Sinnoh? I'm not adding Black and White in bc of how they executed it, but honestly, they should start off from the very beginning if they really wanna put time into it.
Pokemon XY and XYZ are probably the best series to start with, since it has probably the best animation and storyline in the entire franchise. (I do recommend watching the japanese version because it has better opening's, ending's, voice acting and music)
The battle of Greninja vs Sceptile, you have to watch it in the original language, japanese. There's even a more epic soundtrack to hype the battle even more.
@@The_Shu_KurenaiNah. The best saga is DP. This is where creativity in battles is most explored, it best develops rivals, Pokémon conflicts themselves. Even Ash and the characters in this season have a very big evolution cycle from beginning to end. The "negative" point is that unlike XY, DP is very dependent on previous series, as past events and old characters end up returning. Although if he felt like it, it would be totally possible to continue anyway.
@@cauanzg5193 it’s just personal prefrence tho, i’m saying for someone that didn’t like Pokémon and he seems exited for the battles i’d say XYZ is the best choice since it has better animation and great battles, it’s a good start for someone that hated Pokémon.
@@The_Shu_Kurenai Looking at it this way, you really have a point, although I think it loses a lot of the journey, since Pokémon is a big journey, going straight to XY when you have the option of starting earlier. Like, it's different from when we were kids and we only saw what was going on.
Bro, you got to see the movie's the first one Is amazing! Edit: if you are gonna watch one of the shows I recommend xy. It's the most mature and just overall the best in my opinion.
If you were to watch the Pokemon Seasons XY and XY&Z, I highly promote to watch it English Subbed {which means essentially Japanese Dubbed} as it sounds SO EPICALLY AWESOME in that version with both the voice acting for the characters and music than the eng dub
Nah you gotta watch the one where Pikachu just loses his sanity and goes full hay-wire. It was the movie set in the X and Y era. It was so freaking cool
Yes i grew up with pokemon and yes most of the episodes can be filler at times but one thing is for sure is the battles they get hype like that, like really watching the first episodes of how Ash was back then and then watching the last episode of how Ash is now is like night and day it gets heated but i do recommend the movies too!!!
Pikachu versus Leon's Charizard is definitely the Twilight Sparkle versus Tirek moment of Pokemon. Leon may as well have been saying, 'Now I understand what your fellow Princesses have done.' Now here's the thing for people that don't like the concept of using a deus ex machina in this battle. Something like that is perfectly fine to do if it feels earned, and it was definitely earned here. This is 25 years after the start of the series. 25 years of following Ash, starting with his first faltering steps into the massive world of Pokemon. From his shaky start, to finding his footing, to eventually winning a League and now standing at the end as a Pokemon Master. This is why we see the scene with all of Ash's Pokemon, and then hear the first theme song play. It's the culmination of everything he and his Pokemon have gone through from day 1 to this point.
3:46 You really should react to Ash vs Sawyer battle that features Mega Sceptile vs Greninja. It’s on RU-vid. And it’s the best battle in Pokémon history hands down.
Watch XY, then watch the Mega Evolution Specials, and then XYZ (make sure to watch Mega Evolution Specicals before XYZ otherwise you won’t really understand much of the story), or Sun and Moon because imo they have some of the of the best stories out of all the Pokémon anime and they aren’t very long. Also make sure to watch it in Japanese (definitely watch it in Japanese if you don’t want it to be too kiddy, since overall it has better soundtrack and the dub sometimes takes out episodes for censorship)
If there is one anime you check out..wether its certain fights or episodes, you NEED to check out Pokemon 'XYZ' (thats literally the name of it) Also i would try to find a japanese version with subs as some of the english dubs can be wack at times
The best Pokemon battles in my POV is Gen 4 and gen 7 (DiamondPearl and XY/XYZ) but Galar has their fair share of intense fights as well but it can't top with how clean and smooth with how XY fights are animated beautifully. The end of Ash's final fight though had me shaking dude. I'd recommend to start from scratch if you wanna get to know the anime lore of Pokemon more ^^
As a Pokémon fan, to be honest, Pokémon XY and XYZ are the only series worth watching, give or take. It feels like you don’t have to catch up on to much of the series, the animation is breath taking, the filler episodes aren’t a waste of time, and the plot is great (for Pokémon standard.)
Word of advice of Pokemon just know that ash is very dumb of some of the first few seasons but he will progressively get smarter when you continue to watch it
Pokémon is always meant to be an entry level jrpg The lore was good The writing was good The music was good The vibes were good The messages were good The character designs were good That’s all you really need The anime has the freedom to be experimental that the games don’t U should give it a chance
The best series you should watch is xyz. it doesn't involve pretty much anything from the past, fluid animation and great storytelling (most of the time).
I recommend watching XY and XYZ in japanese because the animation is on a whole new level and the good thing about the pokemon anime is that you really can start with any series except for GS.
In fact, the first 4 series, OG, GS, RS and DP have a certain dependence. I say this, because at various times old characters return, references are brought up, etc., but even if you don't understand it, you can follow it.
When it comes to turn base combat, it might help to think of it the same way that it’s portrayed in D&D even though you and your opponent may be taking a long time to think about what to do next. For the characters in game only 6 seconds has gone by between moves.
That form of Lucario is called Mega Lucario, and is indeed in smash, Lucario changes into that form when does his final smash, Greninja also has that form of the anime in his final smash.
the beginning of video was the hardest thing ive ever had to watch in my life as a pokemon player/watcher he called: dragonite - charizard raichu - the opposite of pikachu regice - regus frozen - crystallized W vid other than that lmao
Honestly speaking, Ash's World Coronation Series Masters 8 Tournament battle against Leon *QUICKLY* became my #1 favorite out of all of them. Especially when the get to the final round between ace Pokémon: Ash's Pikachu & Leon's Charizard.
That Pikachu vs Charizard battle gives me the same feeling as Gohan vs Cell or the anti spiral fight from Gurren Lagaan. Also, welcome to the Infernape appreciation club
@@Fisher_Tiger01 I used to not want to watch S&M, but I did anyway in 2020 because I had nothing better to do, and it was honestly so much better than I expected. I like this almost as much as X&Y, and that series was peak.
Highly recommend you react to Pokemon Generations and Pokemon Evolutions. They're like 5-10 minute episodes that expand the lore and have incredible animation/fights. Also you never heard of Mega evolution?! You definitely need to react to every Pokemon mega evolving, if you want to that is. Edit: Another thing is that there's a non turn based fighting game called Pokemon Tournament DX and I think you should react to all the finishing moves too because it has the best animation out of any Pokemon game.
Bro you should watch Xy and xyz and the Alain mini series I think it was called like the mega evolution series or something then you should try and watch sun and moon and then the galar region and journies. All I’m gonna say is you’ll be pretty disappointed in journies if you watched Xy and xyz
As of the most recent generation (gen 9) there are 1,008 species of Pokemon. And if your gonna watch the entire anime....buckle up. There's over 1k eps.
LET'S GO. Pokèmon battles in the show are hype 🔥 *also don't take it hard the fact that in the games it's different. we don't have the technology to make Pokèmons battle in games like in the anime, always remember that
A lot of people are encouraging you to start watching from XY or XYZ, which is fine because they are arguably the best seasons, but they'd be stupid not to remind you that Ash's TRUE fate is decided in his two final subsequent series: Sun & Moon (which is where the Lycanrock battle is from) and Pokemon Journeys (Where the Pikachu vs Charizard battle is from). You HAVE to watch his last two series if anything to know where Ash's journey truly ended up. Neither are bad either, especially S & M.
I'm somewhat against calling it the best season, considering there are things that other seasons do better. But if you see it alone it's really good, the problem is adding others, since in XY there are problems that Ash has faced before and he acts as if it were the first time. It's something that happens a lot in anime from BW onwards.
@@cauanzg5193 I'm not one to nitpick too much about a solid product, especially because of where XY fits in Ash's timeline of development (the beginning of his endgame/ascent into greatness). It could be better, or a lot worse, but oh well.
@@DragonForceAnimeReviews To me it was more about when he finally put it all together and finally proved he was a serious contender to win a tournament. Perhaps we can even go further back to after his victory over Paul confirming his convictions to be sufficient to become strong and the subsequent display vs Tobias proving he probably could've won it all already if not for Tobias, but we are forced to skip over all of BW and idk if you want to do that. Ash went through many phases to get to where he was by XY (or the end of DP if you prefer), which would be the beginning of his endgame. To me, the person's endgame mode/knowledge/skills is where we should start talking about an ascent to greatness. Everything prior to that is just a stepping stone, nothing more.
damn glad you liked it, you should watch Pokemon Origins now. its like a shorter anime with not much eps and the mc is the one from the games its really good
also the black and blue Charizard is an upgrade version of Charizard called "Mega Evolution X" (cause you get it directly in the Pokèmon X game, if you have a regular Charizard of course. Ash's Lucario also Mega Evolved as you saw, against the Gigantamax form of a Pokèmon called Machmp
@@patrickkh1245 Animation? Sun and Moon has better animation than XY and that's a fact, not something subjective. Maybe you're talking about the different artsyle.
Definitely xyz is my favorite by a mile. Each Pokémon generation has roughly 3 series. XYZ is the third series of gen 6. But anyway definitely should watch XYZ it had the biggest quality update out of all of then imo tbh
Months late but the battles with the super clean animation are from the XY series. If you want to check out the anime without watching all 25 seasons, I'd recommend watching from then on. Best animation of the show and generally considered the best all-around series, mostly in character and writing.
Pokemon is basically a slice of life, but the battles are amazing. Ash vs Leon was for me one of the best episodes of fiction oat. Definitely in my top 10
Everyone out here recommending XYZ, while I think SM was the best season. Idk, something about it just hit me emotionally. But maybe that's just different taste.
PLEASE start with the XY/XYZ series. TRUST ME, the story is mature, dark, and the animation IS SO GOOD UGH. Me and my friend always chatter about how great XYZ's season was. Personally I think you'd really like it
Something about Pokemon Black & White and XY & XYZ is that the games of Black & White were incredible but the anime was terrible in comparison to previous entries but it was the reverse for XY & XYZ.
If you decided to watch Pokémon pls do x and y that’s the the best one out of all of them and the most mature and animation and character development is fire asf
@@sonicspeedproductions2.04 I get you but I don’t know if he’s ready to sit and watch all those episodes of Pokémon a lot of them are repetitive and I just don’t want him to get bored by it y know
@@sonicspeedproductions2.04 I think x and y is the best one but it’s up to him if he decides to start Pokémon I just think x and y would be the best one to start first
Be aware not all battles are good like these. Some are mid, some are unfortunately bad. But I do think XY season has some of the best ones. After that Diamond/Pearl, Advanced Generation and Sun&Moon. I think the older seasons might not impress you but hey there are some good ones considering the animation at the time ❤
I wouldn't just consider the battle animations, if I'm looking at gym battles in general. I feel that in DP Ash develops more alternatives to the problems he has. Not that this doesn't happen in XY, but I see that in DP even when Ash is at an extreme disadvantage he still finds an option to come out on top and win, which I consider highly. Like, Pokémon battles wouldn't be as good if every battle was just mindless bashing.
@@cauanzg5193That's one of the reasons I love the Sinnoh anime seasons. The battles had pretty creative work arounds, and the contests added an interesting alternative to battling using combinations of Pokemon and moves
I would like to see you react to all the series of Pokémon and movies because they’re actually pretty good one more thing. What do I do if I don’t have the money to subscribe to your Patreon but I want to see the following reaction.
The next to last video was the moment that Ash became a Regional Champion by defeating someone partnered with a Legendary Pokemon. The very last video was Ash battling against the World Champion, who has never lost a battle in his life. Does Ash defeat the undefeated?
Well thats the thing about the anime. its not really turn base cause you hear them yell dodge when the enemy attacks and do off cap stuff you wont see in the game.
Incineroar is great, has an unique heel wrestler moveset based on Tiger Mask, and is specially fun to use in smash bros, and a very strong pokemon in the pokemon games also, and in the anime he got an unique arc against the Kukui one. Hating him on smash is some clown game, hypocritical too since its the same as the one you pretendied to like.
pretending to like infernape without even knowing its name then raging on the other one who also got a cool arc and moves for even being in smash is some clown world showcase
If you want to watch the pokemon anime, I recommend you the brand new one called Pokemon Horizons. You don’t need to watch the previous 1100+ episodes because it’s not about Ash anymore. It’s not a reboot either but just a different story with amazing new characters, I am sure even non-Pokemon fans would like it, it’s refreshing (but not battle-focus like it was with Ash)
