Not going to lie, even though I've seen yours, Esther's, and Michelle's vlogs a million times, I still binge watch them every now and then because they're not only entertaining, but I also use your videos to manifest my own independent life. I'm sure there's more to designing your own home or cooking in your own kitchen, but the peace of mind I'd have from living independently would be immaculate.

It’s always surprising to me as a European to see how much of a ethnic separation there is in America like not only in ur videos also more in general. When I watch ur videos I’m sometimes wondering does she like only hang out with other Asian Americans?? Like do other Americans also only hang out with their ethnicity. Is It not way cooler to hang out with people of different roots?? btw that’s just a little rant of a European that never lived in the USA but It sometimes really confuses me (and please take no offens because of that comment but I’m generally interested why there is such a thing in America especially for Asian Americans to chill only with other Asian Americans - If u could talk about that in on of ur videos would be great btw love ur videos ❤️)

It always depends on the person! It’s common Asian Americans hang out predominantly with each other together. I’m American living in Boston and I’m black but my closest friends are Mexican and Filipino and Indian. I also have black friends and a few East Asian friends. It really depends on location and other factors!!

I grew up in a diverse part of US (barely any white Americans) so a lot of Latinos and Caribbean people but i also didn't grow up with too many Asian Americans and i really wish i did. I'm grateful to have diverse environment but its nice to also hang out with people of the same culture. There are also some POCs who grew up with only white people and they tend to have only white friends. Also note most white people in America only hang out with white people too (there is a survery to back this up) so nothing wrong to see Asians hang out together. It all depends tho.

I'm south African and over here we have 11 languages, lots of diversity and people from all walks of life etc. I have black, Indian, white friends and I love it . You learn alot when you get out of your comfort zone and hang out with all kinds of people, it's so rewarding to learn about other cultures and make those connections. I watch her videos now and then coz I do like it however I've noticed that she only hangs out with Asian people, and I'd also like to know her reasoning behind it. No ill intent behind my comment, just something I've observed.

Unfortunately it is popular- not saying it’s wrong but I’ve met so many ppl who won’t branch out to ppl of other ethnicities and it’s like.. damn everyone’s missing out on each other :/

I have friends from different backgrounds which is always good! But its really weird to purposely befriend people just for their ethnicity, like if someone said to me “i wanna befriends with you cause you’re asian”? Actually it has happened to me and usually they treat me like an asian object, not as a real person. Usually people are just friends with who they gravitate towards who usually have similar cultural backgrounds. It’s not really harmful vs purposely befriending people just because they’re different so you can say you have a diverse friend group, which is weird.

I definitely recommend that you go to the “Castillo de Chapultepec” it’s so beautiful and I know that you will love the aesthetic and the views… I also recommend you visit “palacio de bellas artes” if you get the chance… Chinatown and the “Torre Latinoamericana” are around there and those are cool too.. museo soumaya or the museo nacional de antropología are really beautiful as well.. you’ll love it!!

I've lived in Southern California my whole life and love it (visited New York once; cool, but not for me), but there is definitely something draining about Los Angeles. I lived there for a year and left because I couldn't take it anymore!

I love your videos but saying that LA is filled with people that are just "copy and pastes" of each other isn't really cool. Definitely undermines the cultural diversity and inclusion that everyone that grew up in LA knows and loves. I understand that pace of life in NY vs. LA is different, but being uninspired seems like more of a creative problem rather than an LA problem. If somebody in the comments feels differently please lmk! Always happy to engage in some public discourse. Maybe there's a perspective that I'm also not fully grasping.

Honestly it is probably just perspective depending where you grew up and spent most of your life. Then it is the company you keep too which can also change that perspective. Like non-americans probably find us all the same and boring with no personality. Or new yorkers moving to cali vice versa find quirks about the other. I do not thInk any ill intention meant by Freesia's comments or anyone in the comments.

LA is definitely a big city with its own quirks, cultural diversity, and charm. But it’s also very different from New York; if I had to choose I’d choose NY. From my time in LA, I didn’t really like it or enjoy it as much because I found that I didn’t meet many ppl with much substance. And it was all about looks and how much money you have, etc. Despite the previously mentioned, LA is still gorgeous and unique but not my vibe. And maybe it’s not Freesia’s either and that’s okay!

Most ppl I know who are not from La who move to there say the same exact thing about it. obviously there are cases outside of this generalization (and it’s not necessarily bad just not for everyone?) nyc isn’t perfect either, also not for everyone. I’ve heard ppl from the west coast say New Yorkers have more substance but aren’t as attractive 🤣 New Yorker here and I can see why ppl may think that (even tho there are tons of attractive ppl here). each city def has things both perceived as good or bad that are unique to it. And La is def known for what it’s known for 👀

I recently moved to LA from NYC too and totally feel what you said about feeling uninspired! People ask which city I like more and I always mention the calmness and slower pace of life of LA but I do miss being able to people-watch and see so much life every day on the NYC streets! Sometimes in LA I barely interact with anyone on a day-to-day basis until I make an effort to reach out to my friends to hang - even then, everything is so much more planned. I guess what I miss about NYC is the consistent spontaneity!

Hey Freesia! Love your videos but FYI I was born and raised in LA and knew this place before a bunch of influencers and fitness studios came to make LA what it is now. Tbh that comment about individuality was kinda lame cuz though there are pockets of influencers that give a bad rep to the city, there’s just as much individuality and culture here you may just not see yet.

my opinion, in general today's house market is considered yeah very expensive especially NY although LA too, even NC which I live, we are very lucky to have large brick 4 bedrooms house although it's too big for us , lol, but we love it

I feel you on the LA vs NY dynamic. LA wins in weather and price but there’s a reason why people pay out the nose to live in a cereal box in NY. 🫡 have so much fun in cdmx!! I really love your NYC vlogs but I definitely feel like your comfort level in LA has changed for the better, I have never lived in NYC but I visit often and right now my separation anxiety from being in the city is at a peak so I booked a trip to go back in January of next year. I got the worst food poisoning of my life at Orinoco and found it weird that when I went, every single patron was a tourist/non-Mexican. Be careful with the uncooked salsas.

It’s been a few years since I went so definitely could have changed. Would definitely make a reservation at Contramar if you like seafood. Not overrated at all. One of my fav dining experiences ever… They have excellent cake for dessert too.
