Sadly that isn’t entirely true. There are a lot of people who put a lot of effort into quality of their videos and have a lot of charisma and despite that they can’t grow a channel this large. It’s both hard work and luck.

he modded the existing parts, only replacing the switches really as keycaps can be changed easily

It's a lot of fun! I didn't grow up doing anything DIY but still had a desire to make something with my own hands and keyboard modding fulfilled that desire for me
