Hannah, I’ve been following your journey for a bit but you really need some stability in your life. There is no way living in your car with Halo for months on end as a solo young woman in the Bay Area isn’t scary and stressful (even if it’s in a good area). It seems as if you are chasing this idea of perfection in many aspects of your life, such as a future partner, where you live, your apartment, but you need to remember that life is and will never be perfect or 100%. Even your partner will never be able to support you 100%. I think you have a lot to work on internally first, and I hope you’re seeking professional services. Please work on yourself and love yourself first before you seek validation from others! You deserve to be happy and surrounded by people who love you, but it takes time and effort to get there. You weren't sure if your car was 100% safe, yet you were willing to drive it all the way from the Bay Area to Seattle. Not sure if that was the best decision. Hope everything works out well, and that your car is not damaged any further.

I would suggest not falling into the "trap" of finding the right person. Instead; focus on trying to BE the right person for someone else.

This situation with your friend may not be over. He could have driven though red lights and you might have parking tickets. You should call police and ask for advice because a warrant could be issued for parking tickets.

I have some female friends in Korea that are all about their career and I have known them for over 10 years. None of them are married they drink every day but none of them have relationships and some are now in their late 30's. They would probably marry the perfect guy but they are not worthy of the perfect guy. They do nothing to prepare themselves for good relationships so they will never have them. If you think of the man you want to be with how do you picture his wife? Drunk? Partying? Working so much that she has zero time for the relationship? And now one of them just turned 40 last month and another is 38 in a couple weeks and another younger one just turned 30 and the youngest turned 27 this summer. I know that all of these girls will end up single or they will have a low quality marriage that will end soon. A few of them have even said they don't see themselves getting married. They don't believe it will happen. ... and Again I say.. you want the perfect man.. but what qualities does that perfect man's wife have? .......... you must consider this. .... When I was 17 I started to prepare myself for being an adult. I took on as many responsibilities as i could. I worked towards an education and I had many backup plans in place. I quit drinking. I improved myself the best I could. Life is not perfect and everything can not be planned for but you must be serious about yourself and you must be that person that your perfect spouse wants to be with... if not.. then he will not give you a second glance no matter how pretty you are. Pretty is not everything and pretty is different for everyone... it is a part of who people are but more important is who that person is inside. I wish you luck .. I hope you find the path you need to be on because right now I don't thing you even know which one to take. While you are finding it i suggest you improve yourself. The worst that can happen is that you become a better you.

I don't think the universe is trying to tell you anything. I'm a believer that we have control over many aspects of our life even when chaotic or awful things happen to us. From your videos, it seems you can have a great life if you choose to, you are young, healthy, and educated. 1. You have a great job, you could easily rent an apartment rather than live in your car (I live in the Bay Area too, so am familiar with the costs). More safe, comfortable, stable, and social. 2. Developing relationships takes time, staying in one place instead of moving around would help. Not having your phone/camera on during interactions with people may help. Especially with people at work whom you are just getting to know in a work environment. 3. Your car would probably be fine if you didn't leave it with someone you don't know well, even if you knew of him for 10 years. If you don't have someone trustworthy to leave it with maybe park it somewhere secure for a fee. 4. Did you leave Halo with a questionable dude for a month? Halo is with you 24/7, must have been a shock for him. Did the guy know how to take care of a dog, especially for that long a period of time? Did he have all the pet supplies? Did he have the patience and dedication? I think these are just some of the decisions you could have made.

Get an apartment where that nice Google Campus is. You are already making friends there and your meals are free! Halo loves the dog park there. Even a mediocre apartment will be better for you AND FOR HALO than living in your car so go ahead and make a decision about an apartment no matter the cost - just get settled somewhere so you can relax and live in peace and start building up your social life and hobbies!

I would rent an studio apartment that has a kitchenette. That way you can save money on rent. Especially if rent it so expensive there. At least you would have a bed to rest, a TV...a bathroom and a kitchen area. You eat most of your meals at your job for free anyways.

I have four kids age 22 through 29. You don’t seem capable of making good mental health decisions. Pick a city. Get housing. Volunteer at something that is meaningful to you. Your life is too self focused. Being on RU-vid probably doesn’t help that.

Yes to some comments above. I would also have a Tesla tech go through a run down of issues before you drive more. Have it documented! Only serves better in court. In the meantime if you were friends with him you might have his IG or FB account. You can see who his friends are. Shame on him for doing what he did, but also you did leave your vehicle to him. Doesn’t make it right but you hold partial responsibility as well. He needs to own up to his assholery. Document everything and don’t rely on RU-vid for what to do. You're so lucky just having your job. Why do this to yourself? you're earning a lot compare to other people. You should start to love and treat yourself well. You will experience positive energy if you have stability. A home to rest your mind and body, a community to join to and hang out with, find new friends. Right now you don't have those and you keep looking for romance when you're not emotionally stable. Love will find you if you focus on yourself first.

You may want to have Tesla do a complete check of your car before you drive it much more. I think you mentioned that they fixed "some" things? Hopefully, they itemized what they found, what they fixed, and what else needs to be done. That gas smell could be due to spilled gasoline that the car-watcher guy was taking somewhere. Good luck!

You have so much going for you already in life. Maybe you are seeing your glass as half empty until of half full. You have an adorable loving dog. I would never go travelling. As it is I have two cats and won't leave them alone. You are lucky your dog is still alive in fact. The person you left your car with sounds like a real number!! I would put it behind but see if your car was perhaps in an accident. Most important I would strive for simplicity and peace in your life. Buckle down into a small apartment. You are already pretty minimalistic if you can endure living in a car. A small apartment with a balcony could suffice. Stick to that space, city and job for at least a year or two. Keep it simple and put up with it. Nothing is perfect. If you are minimalist and it's a bad apartment then sublet and move to a different one that is more suitable. Maybe write a list of the apt and area you would like.

Hey girl you really need to put down roots, just get a studio apartment, if you’re working at google you should be able to afford it. You are putting yourself and your dog in danger living this way. There is so much worse that can happen to you if you don’t decide to take the reigns in your life. Please, be safe and take care of yourself. You may also want to talk to a licensed therapist about potentially having Borderline Personality Disorder. The putting yourself in reckless situations, abandonment issues, and vascillating between laughing and crying are pretty common patterns and getting a diagnosis can really help make sense of things enough to be able to move forward.

I’m sorry for what happened to your car. Hopefully you can get it assessed at a reputable Tesla repair place. Prior to dating, I’d suggest getting yourself to a good space, physically and mentally. If you’re not yet stable, you’re going to attract unstable people. I have to be honest here: I would be uninterested in dating a person who didn’t have stable housing. Unless it was for a temporary transition, it is concerning in our culture. Why is someone focusing on dating when they should be securing their own stability? An apartment does not have to be perfect. For example: the space that you thought would be too hot for your pup - get fans or a portable cooling system. You seem to enjoy the nomadic lifestyle, or at least discovering new places. It’s okay to get an apartment in a city for a year, but then take a plane to visit other locations. If you decide you like the places you visit, you can look for housing and move. But at least you have a safe space to return to while you explore. Best of luck to you!

You are good at seeing who is real and who isn't. It's just you are so positive that you ignore it. I used to be so positive that people would call me enchanted, referring to the Disney movie called Enchanted. I read the 48 Laws of Power and watched shows like Big Brother & Survivor to help me understand what people are capable of doing. I used to think other people wouldn't do bad things because I won't do them. At first, I was shocked at what people are capable up and it made me sad. Now, I have more peace. I can see when people are doing shady things and set up boundaries and still be kind.

Living in your car with your dog is not the best situation. Being free to travel to wherever you want is great. Try having a home - a place you can call home and go home to at night. You tried everything else! I think that would do you use some good at this point.

The Tesla community can give you good suggestions if you can share what is actually wrong with it. "It feels like" is not an actual problem. If I were you, I will really settled down in a place, instead of driving every where trying to see which suits you better. I am sure given you worked in a big corporation you are able to survive in the Bay Area given your compensation. It sucks your "friend" drove your car in such irresponsible manner, If I were you I will post his information on social media just say everyone else around him will be aware of who he really is. Omg, Hannah! Compare yourself to others without a good career like yours. They can still make it to live in the Bay Area! You know yourself you can afford a place for you to live here. You can also switch your car to a convenient car if you want to stay in your car. Your problem is easy to solve because you have the career to finance the expenses here. I know a lot of tech employees, some are data scientists, who can afford SF or around it. They are just lonely people, maybe you are too. Better be safe than sorry. Silicon Valley is a nice place. Maybe you need to go explore more. Go to Santana Row. Have fun there! Have a little stroll there. 🤭✌️🙂

I think the main problem is that you are moving around too much. I don't know if it is related to your job, but it seems to me that you decide it that way and so much change is what generates problems. If you are not stable in one place it is more difficult to make and maintain friendships and it can affect you psychologically as well.

what did he do to your car ? my coworker said 1 day he had to realize his 'friends; werent really friends just people he did stuff with he then told how one ended up in the hospital and his roommate/friend destroyed the car he had been restoring

I would file a police report of what happened, that way if your so called friend did get a ticket or whatever you have some kind of proof plus that you where out of country. When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. Please do not come to NYC. It is energy with a lot of fire. Too bad they don’t have a campus in San Diego. ( for me, the best weather in the country ) maybe goto Florida, since weather is important. Or maybe try to establish yourself better in Vancouver. I watched your videos and I feel for you. I want to help you. 😢 I feel you should definitely find a place in Bay Area. I’m not sure where you exactly want to be in. If you’re in San Jose like I am, West, North and South are the best. Not the East. Sunnyvale, Santa Clara, Mountain View and surrounding areas are good.

The learning I would take from this is to talk really clearly about your and the other persons expectations before dog-sitting and car-sitting. A month of taking care of a dog can be a lot if you are not used to this responsability and change of lifestyle. It is obviously crap your ex-friend treated your car badly (hopefully not Halo), for me it seems both of you did not really make your expectations clear enough before. For me it seems you should consider settling somewhere for some time.

Stop calling him a friend. With friends like that, who needs enemies? Get your car checked up, cause it sounds that there is more wrong with it. I would rent a small apartment or studio for a couple of months (if possible) and see if you like it better to live like that. And see if you can find out if there are any fines. In the Netherlands we have a website for that (maybe the states has something similar?). Go talk to some attorney to see what you can do if there are any fines. And try to live, instead of survive. I think by living in your car, you are constantly living in a survival modus.

Girl, your nomad lifestyle isn't adding anything to you. Any smart person would be able to weigh out the pros and cons of big decisions -- Including a basic need which is shelter. First video was interesting; yet this series has been like watching a friend making a decision that leads to a bad outcome, didn't workout -- THEN proceeds to do the same thing all over again. It does not make sense. It seems miserable to even live as your dog now. I feel so sorry that it has to live through this type of lifestyle.

Some lives in the suburb for a cheaper rent in CA. Your company pays for your food so you can save money for food expense. It sounds to me you’re an over thinker which is not good. Watch RU-vid videos related to that. Also, if you want to make more money, could also look into another higher paying job to help with living expenses. Hope these ideas helps! Of course I'm joking, don't take it to heart. But since I got your attention now, let me say that i really enjoyed the first 9 episodes but I'm hella confused about these last 2. Episode 10 is just you flexing that you can travel anywhere in the world for a month of vacation, falling for tourist traps and still be on your feet. This one is a non problem, i mean you probably have enough money to just trade your 4 year old car for a new one without breaking a sweat. The original idea of the series of living like an 80k salary person would do and fighting the consumerism system is completely out the window. :(

You don't have to think about the other person (for now), you will know when you are ready - in any case, even if/when you find someone, people always change (you included), and sometimes may get on a different page - the trick is in working with the dynamic D. I sent you a message on Insta over a month ago in case you want to talk more (I am literally on the same street - but then you drive around so much that I am not sure) :-)

Don't follow your brian becuase you think too much. (Your words "think too much"). Your brain is wired differently than many others; analytical due to your career field... like rocket-scientists. You are young so you can take your time. You are smarter than most as you are not jumping into anything fast, and will ease into it. For example: you lived in your car before jumping into getting an apartment rather than getting the wrong one and regretting it. Do the same with boyfirends and your future husband. One day at a time. You are doing quite well so don't let that part of your brain say otherwise... don't overthink it. I am glad I came across your channel.

Hannah, you are a professional working and in the right direction and try to find a furnished room in an existing apartment or house to rent that allow to include your pet. I was a professional too working in Las Vegas with a consultant office. I rent a room from hotel for two years and finally moved to another state, San Francisco to work. Mostly our friends are our colleagues and they are very helpful too.
