Elton John has soooooo many wonderful songs. He is another legend. The first one that comes to my mind you may like is. I Guess That's Why They Call it The Blues. Oh boy to many to name. You will get so many suggestions. Mellow ones and upbeat songs
Elton is a deep well of musical genius. “Daniel”, “I guess that’s why they call it the blues”, every single song is a winner, you could react to a different hit song by Elton John every week for years.
The Queen Knighted him in 1998 so it's Sir Elton John. He has an extensive music experience. A song he did with Neil Sedaka called "Bad Blood" is a really good song. 👏👏😊
One of the most prolific song writers of my generation. Elton did the music and Bernie Taupin wrote most of the lyrics. This tune was huge when I was in high school. Outstanding vocalist and pianist. The entire album is solid. Jackson Browne was as well.
I'm an LA Lady born and raised and this song/video make me so homesick. This video was shot all around LA. The song was not a hit when first released, in the 1970's, because it was too long and radio wouldn't play it. It was cut down for radio later but the edits cut out some of the best parts of the song and didn't make sense. It wasn't until the 1980's over a decade after release that the song saw regular radio play in it's full version and became a hit. It's personally one of my favorites from him.
Elton John has an exquisite voice and is a world class pianist! I suggest “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me” (the version by himself, not with George Michael) or “Sorry Seems to be the Hardest Word”. Actually the list of beautiful songs is endless from this musical genius. Love your reaction 🌺✌️
Goodbye Yellow Brick Road is another stellar nonr from Elton John. The title track of a great great album that also includes Funeral for a Ftiend/ Love lies bleeding ( 1 track )
Another great song that he did at the beginning of his career was Your Song, check it out with him singing at the piano. There's so many to choose from, but I also love Funeral For A Friend/ Love Lies Bleeding
along with the other songs people has suggested, you just have to hear this one, it will knock you right off your chair !! George Michael, Elton John - Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me (Live)
There were no rock videos when this came out. So, this was made by a fan. My favorite from him is 'Daniel'. I'm from the last part of the Vietnam era though.
Yes. But a huge shout out needs to go to his producer of the time: Gus Dudgeon. It was because of HIM that this song was raised from very good to iconic. Also kudos to Paul Buckmaster, who arranged the strings.
Agreed, and I think you really hit the nail on the head with your analysis. He sings very sincerely, like every song is personal (and he's a guy with 69 top 40 hits). But also, the music is so complex and woven together, like it's 3-d. So good. I've heard this song maybe 1000 times, and I still get chills hearing the chorus.
Check out Elton John candle in the wind. Check out both versions, cause there's two. Both are awesome. One is for Princess Diane and the other one is for Marilyn Monroe.
I have loved Elton John since I was little. I got to see him finally in 2019 and cried the whole time. I was so happy and emotional lol. It was amazing
62YO Sir Elton Jhon Best achievement 👏 of is career was 🎵 FUNERAL FOR A FRIEND/ LOVE LIES BLEEDING 🎵 🎶 It's a masterpiece Keep the good work my friend ✌
"All The Young Girls Love Alice" "Madman Across the Water" "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" "Take Me to the Pilot" "Burn Down the Mission" That's a start, lol No way to pick a bad one, there are no bad Elton John songs...
Love the way this video connects all the strangers just living out their lives via the commonality of music, just like these reaction videos do. No matter what's happening in their lives the song is something positive in their lives. This song makes me feel so nostalgic, for absolutely no reason, that's the genius of Elton John
Man, if you liked Tiny Dancer, you would LOVE: Rocket Man, 60 Years On, Indian Sunset (all 3 masterpieces), Burn Down The Mission, Take Me to The Pilot, Border Song, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, Mona Lisas and Mad Hatters, Someone Saved My Life Tonight, Your Song, Daniel, My Father's Gun, Where To Now St. Peter, Benny And The Jets, Holiday Inn, Sorry Seems To Be, Tonight, Feel Like A Bullet, Levon, Madness, Better Off Dead, Tower of Babel, Empty Garden, Simple Life, Greatest Discovery, Madman Across the Water, and Have Mercy On the Criminal, Don't Let The Sun God Down On Me, among many others....
This song had a resurgence after the movie "Almost Famous" came out. Similar to what happened to "Bohemian Rhapsody" from "Wayne's World". Catch the bus scene it is in for a real moving clip.
I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU WANT TO KNOW ABOUT ELTON DOGGG BUT MANNNNNNNN, HE]'S GOT A HUGE LIBRARY TO LISTEN TO AND HE WAS THE ABSOLUTE BEST! :) THIS SONG HERE IS 50 YEARS AGO FROM HIS MULTI PLATINUM 71 ALBUM ( MADMAN ACROSS THE WATER ) :) ENJOYYYYYYY
Omg. He has so many classic songs. Bernie Taupin writes the lyrics Elton composes the song. My favorite artist of all time. Try Madman Across the Water. His music is so diversified.
Always been one of my favorites …..Elton John is so talented Genius maybe He has a deep deep deep catalog to see and hear….next try “ funeral for a friend / Love lies bleeding What a piece of music it is
Nice reaction. He's a legend. I also love "Your Song", "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me", "Someone Saved My Life", "Daniel".... dang, I can't stop, there's too many!
You could dedicate an entire reaction channel to just Elton's music. Rock 'n Roll hall of famer. Knighted by the British crown. STILL selling out huge stadiums 30 years after his "prime". A true musical legend.
Someone Saved My Life Tonight, Bennie In The Jets, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road and Ricket Man are just a few of his incredible line up of songs. Just to many to name. Thanks for reacting to Elton John's songs he is an amazingly talented performer.
I lost my dear Sister at 20. She was a beautiful Ballet dancer. I never hear this song without thinking of her. Thank you for the reaction. Oh and Elton John is a GOD you should do more!
This was a track on his 1971 album "Madman Across The Water". written by Bernie Taupin about Maxine, the seamstress for the bands 1970 tour. He would go on to marry her, It ended badly, see the 1976 album "Blue Moves". It has been such a touchstone recording covered by others that he decided to have this video made quite recently.
Elton John(composer)/bernie taupin(writer)...their songs are imbedded inside of my entire life...from earliest childhood(I was born in late 1968. God bless them. And I am so thrilled to see their music permeate ya
Elton John and his songwriter Bernie Taupin have had a partnership over 40 years - Bernie the lyrics Elton the music and singing. Saw him on his final world tour start of 2020 just before covid in Australia - He sang for over 2 hours in the heat with only a 10 minute break at 70 - Sounded as good as he ever did - sang his greatest hits - but he had so many over the years he couldn't fit them all in the show - took me a lifetime to see him live - it was a gift
Elton is a A MUSICAL GENIUS / SONG WRITER / PIANO MAN ---HONESTLY YOU CANNOT GO WRONG WITH ELTON... HE IS ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVES, THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVE SONGS. 💯🔥
2 of my favorites that a lot of people don’t request are: Country Comfort & Skyline Pigeon. The piano version of Skyline Pigeon is so beautiful. Also, watch the movie Almost Famous, it features Tiny Dancer & has an incredible soundtrack.
Love Elton, love your reaction. The list of great hits is so long, but I see in the comments an amazing lot of suggestions to start with. Just pick one, you really can't lose.
This song is just average Elton John. He's had 9 number 1 songs. 27 top 10 songs. 57 top 40 songs. I'd start with Your Song, and work your way chronologically. Goodbye Yellow Brick Road is probably my favorite by Elton.
Best Elton John song (for me): Funeral for A Friend/Love Lies Bleeding studio track version from his double album masterpiece Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.
At the time of its release, 1971 (50 years ago!!) it wasn't as huge as you might think. But over the years it has come to be recognized as the iconic song that it is.
It’s going to be difficult to find a single good Elton John song to recommend. I started listening to him in the early 1970s when I was in high school. And he is as strong today as he was back then. I went to an Elton John concert in 1998 and he sang three hours without an intermission and I new every song and every song was a hit.
Daniel, Bennie and the Jets (my fav), Your Song, Rocket Man. Elton is re-imaging this era of his catalogue of music w/newer artists. Most recently is Tiny Dancer redone as a banger with Britney Spears called "Hold Me Closer". And Elton with Dua Lipa which is a mashup of Rocket Man and his song SacrIfice. Epic of Elton to bring his classic tunes into current music with other artists. Both, with Brittany and Dua Lipa are actually spectacular.
Elton John/Can You Feel The Love Tonight From The Lion King which Elton wrote the musical score for and Can You Feel The Love Tonight became Song Of The Year.
Yellow Brick Road, Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word, I'm Still Standing, Don't Go Braking My Heart w./Kiki Dee, Bennie and The Jets, Rocket Man, Your Song, Crocodile Rock, Candle In The Wind, (England's Rose in memory of Princess Diane). So many more. P.S, He is now Sir Elton John.
Elton John songs are all great 👍. The lyrics are very deep . Theres no wrong or write when it comes to how you receive the message ❤ music 🎵🎶 is art with words and sounds ❤❤
I SWEAR I THOUGHT OF THAT PHOEBE MOMENT, TOO!! And, I thought of when her and Monica tried to figure out her Grandma's super secret cookie recipe.... you know, what was her name... "Nestle Tóllhouse". Very French. I think that was on an Thanksgiving episode 😂😂😂😂
People will suggest other Elton hits, but I'll make an odd suggestion. Listen to the song 'Sixty Years On' from the 11-17-70 album. It's from when Elton first came to the US, and it's a live performance by him on piano, with his drummer Nigel Olsson and bassist the late Dee Murray. Just a trio, and they're replicating a song originally performed with a full orchestra. All three of them are incredible, and musically you might find it interesting.
Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, Saturday's All Right For Fighting, Bennie And The Jets, Someone Saved My Life Tonight, Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me. Just a few, there's so many more.
This is my favorite of all his songs! The first movie I saw it in was "Aloha Bobby and Rose," then it appeared in other movies..Next up, try Bennie and the Jets, and find a live version! Also, "Don't Let the Sun Go Down On Me." There are so many!!!
Im a fan of his older tunes. Madman Across the Water, Levon, Your Song, Someone Saved My Life, Burn Down the Mission, Monalisa and MadHatters. Bennie and the Jets,Rocketman, Empty Garden written about Jonh Lennon. Sooo many more ,dive in the waters fine.
