I would love to see you build like a trailer park with the for rent pack, maybe with a shared laundry mat space that’s super dirty and dingy, I think it’d be an interesting build!

Honestly most of the colors the Sims 4 team put in clash with each other (one pack will choose warm shades and the next cool shades!) but they tend to use the exact same set of cool toned blues in nearly every pack so no matter what you do, you end up with a blue suburban. It's not Simsie's fault, it's the devs.

a bit off topic, but i think sometimes you should try something different from the floor plan you usually do. for example, everytime you can fit 2+ bedrooms you turn them into a kids/teen bedroom, but you could also make them music rooms, art studios, candle makers spaces, little cinemas, laundry room etc... i think sometimes making more houses with these different, but useful spaces could be really cool!!!

This reminds me so much of the duplex I lived in when I was a tween. We were the renters and lived on the second floor. Ours was a little wider, because we had two bedrooms (one in the front over the stairs, mine, and one in the back, my mother's) with the living room in the bay window area, a dining room in the middle, and a kitchen in the back, that had a door to the back porch. The bathroom was behind the stair opening next to Mom's room. I only was in the owner's space once, so I don't remember anything about its layout. It may have had only one bedroom because the space above that had my room was completely taken up by the stairs to our apartment, which didn't have a door to their space. The building took up most of the lot, except for a "back garden" that was pretty tiny. It no longer exists. It was demolished along with most of the other houses in the block to build a community pool.

I have no interest in having cars added to the game, but I do like to add them to my lots to make them look more realistic.

Every time I watch you put the couch/living room next to the entrance I find it so strange. As a European and having lived in three countries, I can fully say I have never in my life walked into a house and found myself in the living room. 😅 I could only imagine that in a tiny studio and even then it would be more common to find the kitchen at the entrance. Loved it!! Could you do a challenge with 6 Units that have the same floor plan but for furnishing you go from a very low budget for the first unit and every time you move on to another unit you get an extra 5000$ to use, so the last unit ends up being the better expensive version!

Be all blue, that's cool. Blue is a great color. Though, I'd love to see LESS limited budget builds honestly.

I just had to come in here and say you really don't need to worry so much about making mistakes and having people yelling at the screen or how many packs you use, as someone with an anxiety disorder I 1000% would be fretting about it too and it's really considerate of you to do as many limited pack builds as you do so people can access them without the game having to replace objects, but it is also your channel and your build and you matter too, you matter a whole massive load and I hope that you know that, and I know that there are people watching who will appreciate you and your effort even if the build has 4 packs instead of 3 or you used the wrong door 💜💜💜💜💜

I kinda want to see her redo this with no pack limits to see if can do more with all the other packs.

LOVE your builds as always and even your repetitive use of the Blue Suburban. In the northeast there are a lot of homes like the one that you designed. Typically they are pretty long/deep and have two or three bedrooms and a single bath. Kitchens are typically small and often your dining table is in the kitchen. Not a lot of them have fireplaces unless they are almost 100 years old or older. You really shoot yourself in the foot with such a low budget. You could gain more space by making the staircase narrow, because none of these allow two people to walk up and down. Also - the second shotgun home you looked at (with the uneven windows) is a typical New Orleans shot gun. They would have a door on each side and then a wall down the middle of the home. You would enter at one point and would need to go through each room to get to the next. Typically one door would lead to the living room and the opposite one would be either a parlor or a bedroom.

I think it would be fun to pretend you take a loan to afford the house and pay it back when you've made enough money from the rent, and then you'd slowly upgrade the units until you have like a five star super fancy duplex. I would do it, but I don't have For Rent and my laptop would evaporate if I got it lol. Still wanted to share the idea in case someone gets inspired :)

10:00 deli uses the basement pack coffee table all the time cuz it's only 30 bucks and a few of the swatches aren't scratched and broken they're actually very good and you keep using a table or TV table when you can use a coffee table as a TV table

The giant staircase in such a tiny house is painful 😭

I tried to create a new family and play in a similar house (but much smaller, with no money cheats), so I was a landlord to the other family. But the worst thing is, after you picked your tenants, the game doesn't let you pay for any upgrades 😮 I added things and then cheated money away, but that's too much trouble, and I didn't want to get the other family out because they kinda grew on me 😢

I wish we had fully matching wood swatches! Imagine if there were, say, birch, oak, and walnut that are the same swatch on any wood item because its the same type of wood so why would the color vary? I dont know if it would work/work well, but it'd make me happy 😂

Just realized that I didn't talk about this ... The house needs to be split in non traditional ways. Apartments are built specifically for multi families. Duplexes usually are built to comfotably allow for 2 families. A house that has been modified to fit more than one family gets very funky layouts because the space that is available is being modified to fit the needs... For example the garage I mentioned in my other post had stairs that led to a breakfast nook and galley kitchen, when it was turned into an apartment the kitchen was walled off and made into a u shape the breakfast nook became the only thing on the raised level and was converted into a bathroom so the unit would have one... The washer had to be somewhere where there was plumbing so it is at the base of those stairs and the dryer needed an exterior wall so it is in what looks like a closet in the bedroom area. Funky layout but it has all the necessities.

20k each would've been a way better budget! But it turned now looking really cute ❤❤

ok but sometimes i really don't get why Kayla makes the houses SO small, that it's nearly impossible to make them make sense and look good? like you could change this by 1 click... make the house wider and it solves your problem :D
