I wanted to say, Kudos to your Mom for managing to do all of that walking with her knee pain. My mom is the same, but when we went to Europe she was down to explore even if she needed a bit of extra rest later. But I know how hard those hills can be!

Seeing you, your sister, besties, and mom looking like fly boss women in blue is SO inspiring and poetic. It's not lost on me that that just in the last couple generations women were excluded BY LAW from obtaining property in their own names unless they had a husband/man to close the deals. So I did your recommended Kyoto route but I did it in July 2023 🥵 😂 (solo): Start: Ramen Miyako Gion -> Yasaka Shrine -> Kodiji Temple-> Mac Presso cafe ( refill)-> Ghibili Store-> Sannenzaka-->. Asahi Touan Pottery store -> otowaya Saryo Cafe (view of kiyomizu) ->. Kiyomizu Dera -> Mar Cafe (dinner: mar burger) Thank you 😊.
