I ordered a FIRST CLASS PLANE MEAL from an airline CHEF 

I believe you that it was delicious. However, for $135 US, moldy _anything,_ & unsealed food packages should NOT be a thing.

Fun Fact: An airplane cabin is actually drier than some deserts with humidity measuring at less than 12 percent, in some cases. In an environment like this, your taste and smell start to drift. Scent actually starts to deteriorate even more as the plane starts to climbs to the approved cruising altitude of between 31,000 and 38,000 feet. Sweet and salty foods suffering the most with all of those other flavors spicy, bitter, and sour still making an appearance mid-flight. Now many modern Airlines will accommodate for this lose of sweet and salty by doubling up on the amount of salt and sugar that is called for in each recipe.

I love how you are put off by the fact that you "have to" cook everything yourself but then as time goes by you enjoy it more and more! I believe that cooking is therapeutic and I still enjoy doing it in my free time even if I have a stressful job as a chef. Also that guy who wrote the instructions to this is a genius!

Strangely enough, I always eat well on the plane. I don't know why, but I'm a happy/content eater in the air and eat it everything, right down to the last crumb.

Yes airplain food is actually good 🥰 but your not able to taste it when your at higher altitude because of the difference in the amount of oxygen and the air pressure in the cabin.

You should try to get a Hellofresh sponsorship; one thing a lot of RU-vidrs mention is how simple and easy their instructions are, and I dont mean to be insulting when I say that if you can manage to actually make the food without messing up, that would be the only way to convince me of the quality of said instruction.

You say the aubergine is moldy. I think when the fridge back wich can get condensation on it. The box got wet that aubergine was next to the carbord it got wet too mold started to grow.

It’s not just airlines that have been doing boxes like this throughout lockdown. My brother and parents got boxes from the chef Rick Stein that came with all the ingredients and then you had to cook much of it. These type of boxes have been very popular. They make a good experience as you put it.

I suddenly realised half way through it's basically a bouji version of Hello Fresh! BA are taking the mickey! Raphael you should test different subscription food boxes like Hello Fresh, Gousto, etc...

The water damage to your box is from hoarfrost or water droplets (it depends what kind of a fridge you have). You must have put the box all the way to the back of the fridge and the cardboard soaked with water over time.

Raphael looks extra pretty in this video. Maybe it's the tee or the hair. He looks very cute. I can't unnotice.

I don't know why you kept saying this is a scam.. this is literally in the first paragraph on the website: "Each meal kit includes a four-course menu inspired by the luxurious food served in British Airways’ First cabin. Customers can choose vegetarian, fish and meat dishes in their kit. They will receive the full ingredients - as used in the First cabin - to cook the meal at home, along with a recipe sheet and an information card in the form of a passport." it says clearly it needs to be cooked, it's basically a Hello Fresh Box XD

There is no way I'd pay $135.99 US dollars for airline food. First class or not. Especially if you had to cook it yourself. I could have gotten the same ingredients from the local grocery food for less than half of that. Is what you are calling an aberdene an eggplant in the states? I love your videos. Very entertaining and informative.

I agree with the people who said nothing should've been unsealed or molded for that price, HOWEVER, I think this was worth every penny considering how proud of himself he was. Note: I don't think the eggplant* was molded. I think it was the wet cardboard stuck to it from where the box got wet. *Eggplant = Aubergine

Honey canned lentils are presoaked & have fully absorbed seasoning. They don't requiring soaking prior to cooking to avoid a long cook time, but lentils need to be soaked anywhere from a few to 12 hours if you want to more easily digest them without complications causing upset stomach & gas. Do you really want to be stuck on an airplane feeling like that? Chickpeas need to be soaked overnight prior to preparing so again they need to be canned but it doesn't do anything to take away from the flavor & believe it or not a lot of chefs use canned items especially in a pinch, canned Chickpeas is the route a lot would go if deciding to make humus unless you want to start preparing your potluck contribution the day before the potluck, it's quite a lot of work.
