Would you quit your job for £2000?

To any young people watching. Creating a brand name and making a website is NOT starting a business. Please don’t quit your job until you have PROVEN you can sell and make a profit - and by proven I mean actually done it consistently. If you can’t make at least £1,000 a month profit by working on your business part time (whilst working a full time job), then you don’t have a viable business

There was absolutely no need for him to quit his job to do this. He could work part time till he can see something working out.

2000 is just not nearly enough, minimum wage 9-5 gets you only about 1500 a month. So you’ve got an extra 500 pounds in disposable but only for a month

Update: The guy ended up taking the money and dipping. All that was made was the logo nothing else. I dont think its smart to make someone quit their job for only 2k pound in england. Espcially a young guy who might just take advantage. Greetings from South Africa🇿🇦

As an employer, I’d be extremely surprised if any of my people could be bought out of their jobs with £2k . They earn that in 3 weeks anyway so the thought that less than a month’s wage up front would stop them working with me is crazy. People really are deluded if they think they can start a successful business with 2 grand and zero income

I love how you're showing and teaching rather than just telling him how to start a business. This is the bit that I think so many people need. You can read all the books in the world but if you don't actively start, even under guidance, you'll never be able to see how far you can go.

10 months later and all that's been done is what you saw in this video. Not a single instagram post, no website on the domain, infact it looks like the domain is avaiable for purchase. Looks like this flopped.

What Im confused is you talked about "working for the system" and how owning your own business is way better. But then who should own their own business and who shouldn't? I have loads of great ideas which generate massive interest on social, but I don’t understand taxes or the numbers side of things. Marketing, socials & creativity is my bag

On the face of it it seems an impossible thing, to get into a position of not being able to pay bills, with a very small investment of 2k! Literally, if no money generated in the first month, for any adult with bills and no savings, its game over! But i really can't wait to see this concept become a success and change the way i view business! Best of luck 💪

self employment isn't for everyone. I could probably earn more being employed with less hassle and worries about worrying about how I am going to afford a new van. self employment as a tradesmen is probably the hardest business I have ever had. So I fully understand people's apprehension. plus people have been told to avoid people in the streets offering something too good to be true. as the saying goes. so it's a self protection from being scammed etc.

6 months later and there are only two posts on the Instagram, as per usual these videos are starting to look fake.

If I had been in Soho last week I would have walked around trying to find you! I am ready to quit my job as well, I just need some mentorship to guide me through the process of business set up etc.

One day I wish I can be like Simon. Helping people think differently about their life, see the oportunities in life, do not blindly follow the path that is being laid in front of you. I am currently trying to mentor juniors in the company I work for, teach them to become disconnected from the business they work on and build their own brand and maybe business one day. So far I have helped one junior find his own client, to which he offers software solutions (I didn't take any comission or anything) and it feels so good. I just wish one day I could do more for people, to become fearless and free. I think that this fear holds us back so much, holds back so much of our potential and in some way even has a negative impact on economy. Anyway, I've watched almost all of Simon's videos and he is an inspiration, I'm so happy seeing people just GO FOR IT!

The harder you have to search for something the less likely they will get seen. You have a large platform. It would be a massive benefit if you made it easier to find the businesses you are helping. It should be plastered everywhere. In the title, in the description should be a link and in your first comment also. That way people can find it easily.

I would only personally need £400 to £500 to start my Business I would do online Coaching and sometimes meeting my Clients to hit the gym and give them direction where to go my target clients will be Severely overweight people as a bodybuilder myself I have learnt so much over the years But I feel I’m holding it all back The reason why I would choose severely overweight clients is to Give them a boost of confidence and it’s much more Satisfying if someone has lost 10 st in weight . we live in a world the government And big Pharma want you to be unhealthy The government can tax you on sugar tax big pharma can sell you drugs

i never doubt on my self .. parent keep pushing me to get job when i already quit my job as a junior civil site engineer . without money back up i still can make my dream come true. i know its too early for me to be proud as i just started my small buisiness . but the pain on being consistant while not enough budget and be on negative circle is so damn hard. for this guy to have that kind of opportunity is something that can even spark your growth of buisiness. i know how it feel to be in the place that whem u want to unplugg but u cant . so thanks to this man for helping others and still respect their deceision
