The difference between the sound of you playing the drums live and the sound of the drums on the recording is interesting. I think I actually prefer the 'live' sound!

Thanks! There is something about that drum sound though. It's almost hollow sounding and has the strangest eq and levels. Hopefully one day we'll know the true source of that sample.

I appreciate that coming from another drummer, thanks! Building Steam is one of the tracks that inspired me to play the drums and also learn how to record them. It's still one of the most unique sounding drum kit recordings I've heard.
