Mechabellum has become my 'Huh, I don't wanna uninstall this' game. I love how it always feels like there was some choice you could do to win - at least at the moment. In terms of balance it feels less like any other autobattler I've seen, and more like a really slow fighting game where you care a lot about playing footsie and trying for ground/air mixups.

For anyone on the fence, it's cheap, there are no pay to win things, only cosmetics that I THINK you can also unlock by playing, and it tickles the strategy of a RTS but without needing 100+ APM. Amazing game

I can say that you are fine without 100+ apm (at least in lower leagues starcraft). Pure strategy suffices I had less than a hundred and beat a guy with 250.

@@BartoszBąk-b8o I mainly play SC2 and that may work until you're in gold or so, where good micro and APM will almost assuredly be a large factor in winning or losing. Company of Heroes was a little more forgiving but quite a different type of game.

I bought this game and played it when it first came out and kinda forgot about it (went through a period of no time for any games). Man, I want to get back into this now. It looks like it has done a ton of updates. Anyone know how the community is? I don't have friends that play this, so wondering if playing others online will be a good experience if I am lousy at the game.

Gotta be honest, when I heard "auto-battler" I almost turned the video off. But I'm glad I didn't because A, auto-battler and auto-clicker are not the same thing apparently who knew? And B, Quill's enthusiasm for this game is infectious. It feels like the strategy elements of Starcraft, but without the bit that I'm terrible at.

I love the 4-way brawl but the game clearly was not optimized for that amount of units at the same time managing to get a 7700x and 4070ti to slow down to well below 30FPS in the later rounds. I hope they’ve managed to fix that for 1.0
