Live & Reloaded is an overhated and underrated classic. I love everything about it

Multiplayer was ahead of its time

I literally busted out my modded og xbox yesterday and started playing conker again for the first time in like 20 years lol

It's always heartwarming to see people so passionate about bringing back or trying to preserve old media and online services. While I'm not into playing old Xbox games online again, I'm happy you found a way not only to play this old game online again but also people to play with.

Dude I was like 300 in the world at this game back in the day, this was a phenomenal game, I'm glad to see people can still play it, this needs a remake

We have a group that plays on Kai link every weekend about 15-20 of us. Great times

I managed to get a second hand original Xbox for $60 off eBay about a decade ago, one of the best purchases I ever made. Playing online is so easy for console, honestly easier than setting up emulators imo. I love Conker too, original and remake, grew up playing them.

This takes me back! As a kid I never actually played this mode online but I played it a ton offline and had a lot of fun playing as the different classes. This and Jet Set Radio Future were THE games that made the original Xbox for me.

I subscribed just for the fact that a RU-vidr who still remembers Conker. Conker's Bad Fur Day is my favorite video game of all time and I played/owned both the original and remake back in the day (I was like 8 years old when I first played it lmao). I already have the Xbox version now and I want the CiB N64 version but its like $300-400 on eBay so i will have to wait to get it some other time. Thanks for the upload!

What a blast from the past. This game was so fun online. Sneaker used to have a bug (I don't remember how to do it) you coule one shot people. They'd have a weird animation break and do some crazy sword work and some sort of spin. Grunt can do some really cool things but I loved sniper. Seeing a headshot actually show on the target was just so amazing for the time.

Remember playing this back in the day. The Seeker was so broken. You can use the double jump to broke through invisible barriers and get behind enemy lines. Not to mention the drone bomb, people would grind in boost lobbies to get the instant explosion powerup. I did and yea, it was insanely broken.

Ah yes, I too know the pain of buying a Gamecube only to watch all the Rare stuff come out on the Halo box.

I can't believe how easy it is to get everything setup to play live on original hardware! That's so cool. I know practically nothing about this game but this video was super informative and fun. Now I want an OG xbox haha

I played so much of this game back in the day.

Coming from mainly a PC gamer. the original Xbox Live was an amazing time in online gaming. Counter-strike, Mechassault, Conker's, Halo 2.... So many damn good online games.

Can't wait to see!

I'm just like you I missed out on online multiplayer in the ps2/xbox days 😔. The fact they were able to bring the OG xbox live is amazing and it's been a blast. I hate that it's not that populated even for halo 2 after all that hype. It's also really cool that you can even play online on Xbox xemu emulator. I really hope it gets more and more populated one day!

Conker Live & Reloaded was a hero shooter before hero shooters were popular. This game was my preferred way to play Conker, and the multiplayer was dope. That D-Day level is unforgettable.

I wish they used this version as well for Rare Replay. Give us the N64 and Remake as well with online

The graphics and art style in this game are honestly the best looking on the OG Xbox

The grunt was dope and I also got good with sneaker.

I also went the GameCube route growing up as a Nintendo fan, so I was heartbroken when Rareware was sold to Microsoft. I always wondered what games we could have received if Rareware had been picked up by Nintendo back then? Diddy Kong Racing 2? Banjo-Threeie?

Dude i begged my dad for this in 2005. It came out around like half a year before xbox 360 launched. Played literally endless hours replaying story and multiplayer over and over. At the time I was so excited to see a remaster to bad fur day, and then new mp? It was unfathomable. Great video!

I love that xemu is compatible with Insignia that you can play with console players on the emulator. Unfortunately, Conker is kind of ass to play still on emulator but a LOT of progress has improved the performance. As soon as I'm able to play online I'm hopping on that shit so quick

The og for n64 had some amazing multi-player games mode

As a Sabre main, I used to pass through all the obstacles jump spamming the sides, then would blow up the last obstacle with the drone. Usually took two drones but I would finish games before my team would even get to the second obstacle 😂😂 This game had so many glitches I had tons of fun as a kid.

Man I remember back in the day when I was a pre teen there was this after school center to go hang out at in my town that had a lot of N64's set up with 4 controllers we'd always play bad fur day, golden eye, smash, MK, and some racing game all day long.

Got my modded xbox original, but still didn't install insignia live. I'd imagine its not very populated but hopefully this video changes that!

As a conker 64 player first, I never expected this version of the game to be as good as it was. I have so many good memories of my friends coming over for the weekend and playing this. We were to young to figure out how to get online so we played splitscreen. We would test all the abilites, vehicles and maps. (doon was our goto map though) I remember putting in hours trying to get good at the ninja character, and all of us just being impressed by the depth of some of the mechanics for each playable character.

I used to play this game so much! I loved it! I was always a sneeker doing the 3 slash headshots. I did cheat a little tho. There was a way to copy the stats of the number 1 person on the leaderboards along with anything they unlocked. Like the uncensored voicelines. I miss it

I actually played online in 2007 on my xbox 360, had about 10 servers at a time and everyone used a voice modulator.

I loved this game back in the day, it's seriously underrated. Unfortunately it released shortly before the 360 launched so it had a short shelf life.

This reminds me of my own experience hunting this game on ebay and then getting xlink kai to play it in 2013

It's pretty cool reminded me of team fortress classic. I played it online back in the day when the offical servers were online and once or twice on insignia. I do prefer n64s multiplayer but the xbox remake really did try to make an interesting multiplayer. I'd love to play live and reloaded online again

If only I have my copy of Conker Live & Reloaded and Original Xbox with me. Long Ranger was my go-to soldier, especially switching from standard sniper rifle to duelies (upgrade pick-up only).

This was my first online game as a kid, I bought an Xbox specifically to play this game because I loved CBFD so much. The online mode back in 2005-2007 was cool because it was a small community where you'd see the same players all the time, but enough random people to keep it interesting. I even had a clan with our own private forum haha. Cool to see people are still interested in playing this game online! Some advice for the Sneaker, you need to time the trigger pulls for the sword for it to do a 3 hit combo. Its very strong!

I grew up playing the absolute shit out of this game. I spent sometimes days at a time playing live and reloaded. Thanks to xbox bringing it to the modern consoles, now my kids play it. What an absolute gem of a game.

I played this online originally. Was very fun. I never finished the story mode. I think my game was glitched and could never complete it after many hours of trying.

Damn put so many hours into online back in the day. I was even 18 yet and I was begging my mom to let me rent it at a blockbuster and bless her soul she did. Made her buy the game a week later and history was made.

Man, wish they gave this the mgs4 online treatment. Just for more numbers and performance sake. But this is the second best thing they could do and I love that somewhere around there world, there are dedicated fans. This is a me segment but personally I also wish Anarchy Reigns had a port, or people brought it back somehow. Even if that's more recent a la ps3

I used to play MP 4 player split screen on the N64 Conkers game. I felt like I enjoyed the N64 version more than the Xbox remake. Maybe it’s because the N64 version came out at a time when I was a young teen and me and my cousins would play together and laugh our butts off playing the N64 version. The Xbox version was cool and it had online but it didn’t have the same impact on me as the N64 version.

I never had online for the original Xbox after I beat the story mode I did play against the computer it was actually pretty fun

Here’s a tip for original Xbox owners depending on what version of motherboard you most likely have to get it serviced because of some capacitors leakes (‘04 or later should be fine late ‘04 or 05 are ok!)

I was always so disappointed with CLRs multiplayer. It's OG counterpart is so much better and more fleshed out. They definitely dropped the ball with that.

It's not necessarily that people hated the multiplayer, it's more so a lot of people were disappointed that a lot of the game modes from the original didn't make their way to the remake. Also another massive change was characters and loadouts. In the original game, weapons were played in key locations, making those hot spots for action. With loadouts, these key areas are gone. I'm personally not a fan of loadouts, I think it removes a lot of map design. And finally, the Beach level in the new game, just felt bad. I'm sorry but the objections/ blow up points being massive bullet sponges just felt off. They could of designed that a number of different ways, but firing hundreds of bullets and rockets and seeing very little progress is not really fun or engaging. If they would of updated all of the old game modes along with the new modes, the game would of been a massive success. It still did pretty well, but that would of put it on another level I feel.

Question; What about those who have the game but only have an XBOX 360? I'm pretty sure the game is backwards compatible to the base game, but does that affect the Online Multiplayer functionality?

Best online multiplayer bar none, still holding out for a remaster with multi.

I probably put 1000+ hours into this game. Loved it. Edit: Fun fact, my mom seeing me play this game was the day she stopped trying to stop me from cursing (to an extent) and seeing violent content.
