i played devil may cry 3 for the first time and... 

and this is the perfect format...I will watch *every* dmc3-5 playthrough that is condensed into a single ~1h video

Yeah, I wish I could get like a , selective amnesia, and forget these games, just so I can re experience them.

Nothing makes me happier than watching people get their feet wet in the series. People think I'm being critical watching them play, but it's like watching people take their first steps to me I'm so excited.

For a first time player learning The Original Devil May Cry 3 i have say that i'm off to a pretty good start. This is mostly because thanks to having experience playing Devil May Cry 1 and looking up some tips and tricks for beginners from a pro's guide i managed to pick up the games combat fairly quickly. Does it mean i've mastered the game? Certainly not! In fact i still have a lot to learn before i become good at the game. Like most beginners the first part i'm currently stuck on is the Cerberus Boss. Then again this is Devil May Cry 3 and the whole point of the DMC games is to know your enemies, master your dodges, experiment with each weapon, use the environment to your advantage and practice using different moves to form different combos since combo variety is absolutely essential if you want to earn new moves in order to overcome this hair tearing thrill ride. Devil May Cry 3 will certainly challenge even the best of players in this brutally difficult adventure through Hell but it's a fun and entertaining challenge that is most certainly worth conquering. It's funny to watching a girl playing through perhaps one of the most difficult games of all time (Not to sound sexist)

Same! I just starting playing Devil May Cry 3 (The Original not Special Edition) for the first time and boy it is no push over when it comes to the difficulty. Enemies hit like tanks, you have to use both the environment and camera to your advantage to limit the amount of enemies on screen and you have to keep mixing up combos if you want to have any chance of proceeding forward as using the same combo over and over again will result in enemies taking less damage and adapting to your style of play. Not to mention defeating an enemy with the same combo will result in less experience which is absolutely essential to purchase new moves in order to beat the game. However since i've had previous experience playing Devil May Cry 1 and from looking up tips and tricks online i managed to have softened the difficulty (to some degree) of the nightmarishly difficult game Devil May Cry 3 is widely known for. Being a new fan who's just getting into to the series Devil May Cry is a game that will require a clever, observant and creative mind to overcome and potentially master it's rough, yet satisfyingly rewarding difficulty.

DMC5 is definitely the better game overall. This game has more nostalgia obviously, but objectively speaking DMC5 is such a perfect DMC game and I can't wait for DMC6 to see the improvements they do to the combat considering how fucking good the combat system was on 5

Style switching was revolutionary in DMC4. If only the game itself wasn't half finished.

@@itsmrdante6274 Yeah and I’m glad they brought it back into DMC5 and the switch version of dmc3. Having access to the weapons at all times is handy, especially when you can combos from weapon and style switching. Beowulf sword master then switching to Coyote-A gunslinger to quick silver Devil trigger, that shit makes it fun to play DMC3 on switch.

@@demonicdonte7892 Yep. I haven't played DMC3 on the Switch because I can't afford one, but I can imagine how good the combat would be on DMC3 with style switching. Especially for someone that enjoys combos and as my friend calls it when I play "Toying with your food" because I keep taunting the demons or just cancelling attacks over and over again doing barely any damage, but keeping them stunned lmao

To be honest to you guys the minor issue of freestyle gameplay is where it can get overwhelming and confusing at times if you don't know how to use the different devil arms and guns.

@@johnsaibot2359 Well yeah. It can be overwhelming most of the time and confuse people when you use new Devil arms/guns. But as you progress with them, you’ll know more combos, more ways to taunt, and earn triple S a lot faster.

This is actually not quite right - the original Japanese release was easier than the first American release. What happened was, the American version removed easy mode and cranked the normal difficulty up to the Japanese hard difficulty. The reason was apparently the publisher decided American gamers wanted it to be harder. The Special Edition reverts the normal difficulty level and re-adds the easy setting, making it fall back in line with the Japanese version. It's confusing.
