If this is like the other Sparking games, when the enemy goes above you like that, you're supposed to activate the dragon rush to kind of get to them instantly. It's a thing you just kind of get used to with playing more.

7:40 That’s always how it’s been in this series. The camera isn’t meant to be 360 degrees. The angle of the camera will always tell you the general direction of your opponent and if you dragon dash it will always home towards them

So the same thing happened in the Budokai Tenkaichi series with the opponent flying above you and locking you downstairs. I think it's more of a movement mechanic issue. The game is built around the idea that you WANT to fight your opponent so the tracking during fights is amazing and much better than Xenoverse because of that. It really helps with fighting your opponent however you have instances where the AI or player will manipulate this design obviously, I always retreated when that happened in the older games. I hope they change it to where they also have the option to fly passed because what happened there is the AI dashed "towards" you but it acted as if your character was up there with him so it also locks his movement up top. Making it hard for both opponents to fight. Sparking Zero is definitely still gonna be great but stuff like this can deter some players for a bit. Love your content Jack, KEEP IT UP!

I appreciate your honesty saying you're not a Tenkaichi player. And yet you still managed to do a more enjoyable gameplay that some youtubers out there saying they were veterans in Tenkaichi, yet all they did in their gameplays was punching the literal air. Also, AI in EVO build apparently was way harder than in other events. In most of the EVO gameplays there are insane moments from this AI which never happened in other events. AI was completely passive in Summer Game Fest and Anime Expo.

When an opponent is above you like that, you can either Dragon Dash to rush them, or just double-tap the Ascend button and you'll shoot up to their level. They're supposed to be able to get in your blind spots just like the show, so you have options to manage that. But it's literally your first time playing a BT game so I definitely don't blame you for not knowing, these games are surprisingly complex.

By the way loosing track of your opponent is not a problem, it's a feature, it's a legit tactic to hide from your opponent, and even in BT3 when that happens you loose the lock on, on your opponents, I think some characters could sense energy but androids could not, same the other way around, I think you can't sense androids

The issues you had with the camera have an explanation. That thing has allways been a thing in the tenkaichi series, even in other games like Raging Blast 2. This is to give your oponent the advantage of the highground. But there are ways to counter it. 1. You can also fly up so you can see your oponent again. 2. You can dragon dash backwards so the angle helps you see the enemy This is something you get used to the more you play, so its a bit of practice and understanding the mechanics. Anyway great video.

You can tell jack have never played budokai Tenkaichi series. The "camera problem" isnt a problem it was forever in budokai Tenkaichi series and its just lock off

The camera not being able to show someone directly above you has been a thing in all the tenkaichi games and raging blast games no? I feel like there's not really too much they can do about it, having the camera look 90 degrees up especially if you're on the ground wouldn't work at all..

Android 17, 18 and 16's Ki should auto charge without you having to do anything. In tenkaichi 3, it gradually filled up just by doing nothing and while you melee combo'd. They were my favorite characters in that game. Hopefully it's the same in this one.
