@@Scuuurbs That's the thing, their strategy is all about get to the end as fast as possible, but the game is all about survival. Kills as much as you can as fast as you can while performing combos for even more time while still progressing through the level. Honestly the winning strategy to me seems to be farm time and keep the fire flower (the only reliable hammer bro/bowser clearer). Now if this game threw lakitu's at us, lord help you.

Well, these are the levels from the very first Mario game. It's understandable if they didn't fully understand how to design fun Mario levels yet.

@@nick012000 I think he means that as opponents send more and more enemies onto the stages that's what makes them little Timmy levels, not the design itself

I assume the timer issue will resolve itself in due time(lol) at the moment everyone only has access to the first few levels, but once players will have to play the harder levels it won't be that easy to survive.

Just make losing your flower power straight to small mario like in the original. Problem solved.

the man is genuinely an idiot. 'Why can't I use my block anymore?' - dude man, it's in the corner. It's 20 coins to use it. There's really not a lot on the screen... are you really, that, dumb? 'I'm running out of time' - proceeds to jump over enemies and keeps using the fireflower which gives him less time? 'Smooth as butter / big money' - a child. And the game looks boring!

@@sapphireweapon12345 Probably not. This is definetly a test run for a game like this but don't expect the same concept pop up again within this generation of consoles. If they are doing a test like this there is no development for a bigger project started yet. So at least 1,5 years from end of the "the test phase" And in 2+ years the BR crayz will be dead and over soon...

They should have had a mode where you have to race the whole game and be the first one to finish it, I also wish they added more items to use on your opponents such as mines, walls etc. that would make it so much more fun!

Yeah, the difficulty needs to ramp up more quickly too. It was pretty tedious how long it dragged on with two competent players at the end

As you get more experienced and unlock more courses, the tougher levels should come.

The enemies off color are from other players. The last person died from an enemy already in that level, at that spot. "normal color".

@@johnmcclaneftw13 So when Ryu kills something, the player he focuses gets that enemy? Why would you want to target players with little time then? That's like helping them out since all enemies give you more time

@@jatoxo Because it's a double edged sword. More enemies means more time yes but it's also more risk to get killed.

@@Braminam But if you're running out of time it is in all cases worth taking that risk. Anyone might as well die to an enemy, but Ryu specifically focuses the ones with little time saying to "knock them out" while he's actually helping them get more time. The game having this as an option makes it seem as if it would benefit you to give people with the least time more enemies. That's what doesn't make sense to me Wouldn't you rather want to give those with the most time the enemies, hoping that they die, since they are the biggest threat to you, and at the same time not providing more time for those who are running out?

@@jatoxo Well, you have to send the enemies somewhere. If you send enemies to opponents who have more time than you already (most likely attackers and maybe those with the most coins), then they can get an even bigger time advantage against you. Granted, you could theoretically get in a loop where you and your attacker (assuming they're also set to attack attackers) keep sending each other more and more enemies. This becomes more dangerous, but it may be good for racking up time for both players. If an opponent is running out of time, you can assume that they aren't very good at the game, so enemies are more likely to eliminate them. Even if they are good, if you send enemies to them, you may be helping them stay in the game longer, but they aren't as likely to get as much time as you very quickly, so you still have the time advantage. It's worth pointing out that it may be desirable to hoard coins so opponents send more enemies to you, allowing you to get more time. In my opinion, sending enemies to those with the most coins is the leaast favorable option. My recommendation is to target lowest time or random for most of the match.

@Phoenix Rose he probably played the first Mario Bros only one time in a legit way and all the other times he played it for a speedrun to finish the game under 5 minutes, so it's not surprising he doesn't know where all the good stuff actually is in all the levels
