I actually did notice that Dark is the only type of the Kalos starters that does not have a specialist. Water: Siebold Fire: Malva Grass: Ramos Fighting: Korrina Psychic: Olympia So, Mikey doing a Dark type run makes sense.

Voldemort is actually one of the most successful villians in any story. Mikey at this point just got to the point of placing a target on his back. In my first playthrough of pokemon X, the first pokemon I met on the route after the connecting cave was a first encounter shiny absol. Absol is one of my favourite pokemon. I saved at least 10 times after catching it

Well, "falling" doesn't always mean falling in defeat. Saying "darkness falls" is more akin to "falling from on high," descending upon the world, that sort of thing, lol
