The story, the melee finishers, traversal and gunplay looks and feels really satisfying. Cannot wait for february 2nd!

I don't think a lot of Arkham fans know Rocksteady's history. While they're recognized for Batman games they actually made their debut in the industry with a shooting game. So this isn't out of their wheelhouse. Its a return to true form for them.

Honestly, the gameplay itself in isolation seems fine. The real problem and challenge with these kinds of games if they want to make it a long-term project is the endgame loop. Franchises like Monster Hunter basically has the monsters as boss gauntlets that you master and conquer as the endgame loop, while games like Warframe and Destiny are basically dungeon crawlers packaged as shooters. Unless the game is balanced around mastery of the system mechanics in mind as its endgame "progression", it'll be really hard to hook in players for the long-term.

Nice to hear there’s no levels. The gameplay and traversal looks fun, and hopefully the story is good quality. Will probably buy this game and play it with my brother.

Hey Benny. ON BOOMERANGS. In American law (and most other countries, too), boomerangs do not count as assault/lethal weapons, and therefor are not illegal to carry around. And if you get caught having thrown one (sharpened to be lethal) and killed someone, due to their curving trajectory nature, the killer could claim the victim simply unexpectedly walked in the path of the boomerang after it was thrown. So if you had an assassin operating anywhere else in the world but Australia, they can get away with murder.

The biggest Problem is normal ppl don't have 3 friends with the same schedule and pacing to play a Story campaign with, and public matchmaking is always a shitshow where everyone runs in a different direction the main Feature doesn't work in the Real World. You can only play this coop if you have 3 ppl that wanna watch cutscenes etc. It's just not gonna happen...

I think u did more of a service in displaying this game then the devs did.The issue is both Suicide Squad Kills The Justice League & gotham knights tries to ride on that arkham hype train but it backfires due to expectations.I think the games would do better if the expectations r a bit separate from it!!!

I want a Rocksteady that stars the Justice League and has like 5 Distinct gameplays for the main members. You could have Batman or have him be a hidden character you earn. The story of the game could even be The JL saving Batman from being lost in time. The villains could be the Legion of Doom.

I love the closed alpha the whole segment in the Arkham Museum was amazing. You got the POV of being stalked by Batman. I was hooked. SEEING ARKHAM BATMAN With the JLA was a dream come true. I wish we got to go against a boss fight though. The ending was right before the GL boss. The only gripe that I had was that they needed to remove the always online feature(which they said they're removing ) because i got dced because a server got shut down. The combat is WAY better than how the gameplays have been which is strange because it seems like whoever is playing is doing the most basic stuff while I was pulling different combos. They make a running gag about how deadshot is black too lol. I gave what I play a good 8.5/10 its definitely worthy of being within the Arkham franchise.

I really hope we get red hood in this game. Would be dope.

Hello. I did have a question about game play but price. Do you think this is $70 to $100 game? What i mean is do you feel...from the short chapter... that is it different enough from any other game like this to be ok with such a high price? I do understand it might be a hard call because of only the one chapter i get it. Even going off of just having fun with friends, 70 is a hard price to sell to my friends when we can easily play for way cheaper or for free. Also I get everyone values the price of games differently. I am just really interested in your thoughts on it. thank you. Also glad to hear you enjoyed it.

I respect your opinion on it. Personally I don’t believe it is a good game even for live service standards. The story definitely doesn’t reach the lvl of their old games. The gun play will never match what people actually wanted. It’s like being told you get to play as Superman, but your main attacks are with guns. Also the endgame doesn’t seem to have much going for it if it’s gonna be just like the final boss fight. I strongly believe that this is a below average. Again I respect your opinion, it doesn’t stop me from enjoying your content but I just strongly disagree.

My only gripe about the battlepass being cosmetics only, I do however love that they made all story content free for all which is amazing, is that in a comic book game I like to play with all the skins from the characters' history, so the skins being locked behind a battlepass makes me kinda sad, but glass half full, even if I don't get all the skins I at least get all the story, which is still great

Since they lifted the NDA for Alpha players I’ll ask this. The city to me felt like it had no real sense of place, like all the areas I was in felt and looked pretty much the same. That combined with enemies that felt the same (a few different classes but placed in similar groups around the city). Did you get this feeling at all? Sounds like you’re more in the pocket for this kind of game than me, although I do play some live service games, mainly FFXIV but will dip into others on occasion. I really want to experience the story of this game because the story missions I played were really interesting and I love DC but I feel like I will get super bored with the combat and how the city felt.

Pretty clear hint they were romantically involved. I don’t even know what to say…. What I hate about this game is that they should’ve just made this an else worlds story. Rocksteady keeps saying it’s the same Batman we played in the Arkham games. And I love those games. And this game just craps all over it. That is why I won’t play it. Also, I got burned last time I played a live service game. The game got shut down after two years of me investing in it, and it just sucks. Live service games need to die.

I think my big problem with the whole game is that I just kind of don't like the idea of ​​it, not a Suicide Squad game, but rather them taking the safest route for attention, which is them fighting the Justice League. Because anyone who knows the comics knows that somehow it wasn't an absolute disaster, which I now suspect is the reason why Brainiac is also a part of it, so that at least you have an excuse. I mean, to show James' film again, the US government wants to have the starfish themselves for their own purposes, and the team is often called out to do the US government's questionable things or to correct their own mistakes. and I would have done that. I mean, would you know how cool it would be to somehow send a team of weird villains to South America to stop the drug lord who develops his own powers when he totals cocaine customers? and yes there is a character in the comics called snow flame, or for example to attack the League of Assassins in the Himalayas to get something from the Lazarus Spring because the US government wants to turn it into research programs for military purposes? See, that's what I meant, yes you have a lot more experimental skills there. Besides, we just can't do the usual ones. Oh yes, those are the four popular ones from the shitty first film. okay except for King Shark but it's King Shark and everyone likes it.

Idc what anyone says. I'm excited for this game. I know the story is gunna be great and it's Kevin's last performance as Batman, who also turns out to be my favorite comic book hero. Since it's part of the Arkham series, I'm definitely picking it up. Something also tells me it'll be better than Avengers. Hell, I even enjoyed Gotham Knights more than Avengers.

A hands-on impression that feels actually genuine. Also, this video does something unlike the live service naysayers never do: acknowledge a live service game that's done well. Too many are immediately dismissive of live service business model and are quick to point the failed ones to justify such a knee-jerk reaction upon hearing the term. I've already decided I was going to play this game anyway because it looks genuinely fun. Many of the negative impressions from other outlets seem like their basing their disdain on Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League not being the game they wanted it to be rather than judge the game on its own merits. These same outlets practically dismissed the game upon its announcement and I get the impression their minds have since been made up.

I’ve played it and my only concern is the overall gameplay and how transformative it will be once you reach end game. When you introduce skill trees and different builds they have to be distinct and unique enough to feel worth it. Your Deadshot has to feel completely different from your friends build for him. Now they say that it will be that way but from my experience with the game and looking at each characters skill trees I didn’t really see it. But I only played a small portion of the the game and hopefully they improve on this upon their final release and it becomes something more akin to Borderlands as far as build diversity

If it’s as simple as “you don’t need to be online to play the game at all” then I’m going to be more inclined to play this game, but if it’s a “you can play it by yourself but you still need internet connection” then I’ll be skipping this game. I was so excited when the game was announced and then like many others, felt disappointed when I heard about it being live service and was a looter shooter instead of having similar gameplay to the Arkham games. I have been back and forth in my opinion, but I decided to form my own opinion and buy the game regardless of all of the things I have heard. I have only played a few hours, but so far I am really enjoying it. I have heard a lot of people saying "All you do is jump around and shoot similar enemies the whole time". I feel like games nowadays do TOO much and miss the FUN elements. I had a lot of fun just zooming around and taking out enemies. The references to the Arkham games are awesome as well! Everyone should definitely form their own opinion on this one!

You pay them to play there game and they can just shut it down whenever they want to. Then you don’t have a game anymore. Sorry not my bag. Then this loot shooter thing. Well it fail with Gotham knights and after a few hours it will fail for this game as well. This was an extremely bad idea on there part to make this game this way. Sorry but like they say. “If it’s not broke don’t fix it” well here we are. They should have kept the Batman games going since that is what made them.

Anti speed force bullets are dump. They should of used mr freeze or captain cold or killer froze to slow him down. Or if you want a mechanic then multiply suppressing machines that the flash will try to destroy.

The onlly problem i see is that watching gameplay looks off like in Arkham or shadow of war you can watch gameplay and still enjoy. Maybe if the hud was smaller and the camera was more zoomed out?😭

9:00 that's a worrying bit tbh. Now we know why crystal dynammics kept showing the A-Day mission in avengers, it was pretty much the best story mission in the game and the rest was just GAAS content like standing around capturing and area or hacking or whatever.

I got into the Alpha and it’s an absolute disservice that you guys only got 4-6 hours and only some people seemed to get Chapter 1, and no one got Chapter 2. Chapter 2 was the best section of the Alpha with a lot of really solid story stuff and a big sections celebrating the previous Trilogy. This game desperately needs an Open Beta. It won’t change a lot of people’s minds, but spending a weekend with it completely changed mine. People just need to be able to try it risk free.

To add on to the poison ivy thing I’ve seen a lot of weirdos get upset because a kid doesn’t look attractive them or doesn’t have that “flair” is a soft way of them saying that sometimes. Like, it’s a kid, why is a kid being attractive their main concern? I have no idea.

My controversy with poison ivy is her whole character is about seduction but then they thought it would be quirky to go to kid groot path with her to reintroduce her to story

I played the beta for the game and in my honest opinion its fun to me because i don't have to be a hero i can do what i wanted and it was a plus to see my head explode when i didnt return to the mission

I have 2 questions 1) do enemies scale to your level? Say you're lvl 10 and your friend is lvl 3 are the enemy's balanced. 2) if theres a weapon i dont like but feel like my team mate can benefit from that weapon can o give them that weapon?
