The problem is the game's own introduction to it doesn't do you any favors. With the AI, every game feels the same, especially on the later ones that start to feel like they're cheating. Without actively seeking out in-depth strategies related to this game, everything feels super repetitive, and I don't think it's good if the game on it's own isn't enough to make some people interested in it. Essentially, why did you not give Tableturf full online, you cowards
More tableturf! It’s a part of the game I struggle to understand effectively, and your method of Teaching The Game has always made a lot about this make more sense to me
i love when the competitive communities of other modes get the spotlight, more please. salmon run, story mode (speedrunning), and tableturf, ranked will always be king but the others are so fun and interesting in their own ways!!
i've yet to dig into this mode deeper but damn if your videos don't already give me reason to Git Gud at squid game, or just play more in general... i think it's due to how thorough and introspective you are about important, sometimes underrecognized, aspects of the game, along with your openness to discussion and different (informed) opinions. your channel has become my favorite for videos on splatoon, especially when you go into diverse topics while still having a sense of humor every now and then. def going to try playing tableturf seriously now 👁especially when i've only played it for 5 minutes probably, and that was at launch

I'm not super into Tableturf (Not that I don't like it it's just everytime I open up the game I just wanna play ranked or salmon run lol) but from the bit I played on launch I'm just amazed at how the devs literally made turn-based Turf War lol. Its a very deceptively clever design mode.
Ljovynn is WAAAYYY better than most Tableturf players lol. One time I played in a Duos tournament (both teams send in 1 player, winner stays on until the whole of one team is out) and went first every game, and his coaching made it so that I won every game until the final one where I didn't have a good deck for that map. My best placement in a solo tournament is barely scraping top half in a tournament where most players were from the 'ARMS' community (that was a whole collab the communities did lol)
Yeah plenty of people still play 3, I don't think the next game will be announced for at least another like 1.5-2 years from now, there's not really any news on the next game and splatfests are still happening in 3
