Friendly recommendation: include one or two of the specials weapons cards in your deck. They all have 12 blocks, and even though they don't have special blocks, they only cost three special gauges to use. Crab tank has won many a close game for me!

Watching chara play tableturf is like watching a baby trying to put a triangle in the circle hole

Seeing Chara use his 1-cost specials to gain no special is killing me lol. 1-costs are for gap-filling, you should at LEAST be getting 1 special back, making it at least free, if not 2.

It might just be me, but something about Tableturf Battles makes me think of Tetris. When I’m playing Tableturf, my inner Tetris player has been helping in farming for special provided I don’t lose focus on the objective of the game.

As someone who has been playing primarily tableturf lately, it makes me incredibly happy to see it being played more by my favourite splatoon creators. I personally am at level 37. I look forward to playing against other people when that finally gets added.

I always instinctually trust that whatever you're doing is optimal, I gotta get outta that mindset when you're playing tableturf lol

My deck is weighted much more on the heavy side, you dont have to stress about getting the special as hard when you already take up a lot of space. smart placement plus the occasional Pass gets me enough special to drop a whopper in their base usually.

quick tip for anyone who wants to get better at building decks: use a hypergeometric calculator, they are super useful cus they they let you figure out the chance of getting any card/piece or sets of pieces on round 1 and making it easier to build a balanced deck that doesn't have to many or to few of type of piece

i've found ultra stamp to also be a really good card in this mode, it's a special weapon so it costs only 3 to play and it does a good job just reaching in there, even if your special squares are positioned far back

i love the part where chara said "its tableturfing time" and tableturfed baby jelly

highly reccommend mudmouth. as far as i know its the only card to only take one space to activate its special square, and the shape of it means you can instantly get 2 special points by comboing with octopod, suction bomb or fizzy. it has a very compact 6x3 11 space shape, making it easy to fit in places, and the top of it being angled slightly lets it combo with things like reeflux. its in literally all my decks, and ive beat every lv 3 ai 30 times and got every card sleeve.

Man, I love Tableturf. I've got Judd, Jel La Fleur and Callie's card sleeves and I got my sights set on Murch next.

If you need tips on how to play table-turf there are many videos that can help you build a deck, usually you want to go from a card or two you like and build a deck off of it. There’s also a certain amount of big, medium, and small cards you should have in a deck too. The hardest part of table-turf is deck building. (Also recommend not using burst bomb)

0:46 "we'll give them special if I put this here though but I'll get 2 so I think it's worth it" *gets 1* 2:57 could've gotten 3 special if you placed it between the mothership & the starting block 4:32 couldve gotten 3 special if you placed it in the bottom right and placed the burst bomb next to it on the next turn 4:51 could've gotten 2 special if you placed it in the bottom left and placed a burst bomb in the hole next turn 5:15 there's 5 holes you could've placed it in to get special, how did you miss all of them? Btw just a small tip: I'd recommend having 2-4 cards worth 5 special.(My personal preference is for dynamo roller, big shot, flyfish, & heavy splatling.) It's surprisingly a lot easier to win while farming 1 less special, plus it usually isn't much of a difference and you can just do a 2nd special turn for a smaller card if you have extra. I'd also recommend replacing the clash blaster, (maybe)auto bomb, krak-on, mini splatling/nautilus(one of the 2), and using the splatana wiper instead of the stamper, it's usually a bit more useful since it can fit in more places, though that's mostly up to preference. If you keep shiver I'd recommend angle shooter or sprinkler. The best strategy is usually to start by playing a long card(like the dynamo roller, shiver, heavy splatling, stinger, etc,) play a big(preferably long) card(like the dynamo roller) on top of it, block off the exposed area(s), and go from there.

i forget tableturf exists a lot. they should make an event for it like how turf wars have splatfests and how salmon run has big run. the prizes would probably have to be something not related to tableturf or else people who don't play tableturf won't wanna participate at all. maybe we'll see something like that when it gets released for multiplayer.

Worth noting is that Frye's card has a gap in it that's *exactly* big enough to fit a Suction Bomb or Fizzy Bomb into. Fizzy in particular can guarantee you a special point provided that the space isn't already painted over.

I love battling the players controlled by cpu seeing the way someone else has there deck built is awesome but I would really like to battle head to head

Did you know that if you position fizzy bomb horizontally in the middle of marigolds eyes so that the special tile is in the middle, you can get two really easy special tiles?

Hey Prochara so I was in a match of Splatoon three and so I was using dynamo roller it was the last few seconds of the match I was going to do a normal flick and two of to the enemies came up as soon as I did it so they both died and got a third splat and we won to just to up the luckyness

I grinded the shit outta this Mode, got up to the hat salesman I think and I got him up to lvl 3, it's such a fun Mode to Grind, haven't done it in a few weeks tho

Wish table turf got more love tbh. I have no doubt there are players who'd love an in game tournament. Also table turf straight up reminds me of dungeon dice monsters on the gba but cards.

What an awesome gamemode! I sure hope it won't take 6 months after launch to add online functionality where people have already reached level 50, giving little incentive to play more Tableturf! I sure hope..

you should play large (14-17 space) cards as soon as you get them - they're extremely easy to deny even early game and it's honestly not worth using them as a special attack.

I've been struggling with Lv 3 Baby Jelly because I couldn't get Special Points and I'm stuck at Rank 15 so that is halfway till I get the emote but since I don't know how to get special points faster I don't feel like playing this mode

I learned that if you pass and discard a 10+ card, you get 1 special square.

supposedly the AI never actually gets better between levels and characters, it's just changing what cards they have access to and the play area

I'm not really a fan of Marigold card tbh. I will agree that placing cards in a good position (like putting the special block from your Wiper upwards) can lead to nicer special attack placements. Special blocks can be used for both attack and defense.

I made a baby jelly killer deck and have won 85% of my games on lvl3. never again will I be playing table turf 🙂🙂🙂

Idk about anyone else, but I quit tableturf after I farmed for hours just to get card shark. Its a fun mini game but playing it that much does something to you. Worth it for card shark though
