Brother, been dj'ing 20 years and I STILL get butterflies before getting in front of a few hundred people... it's a good thing... enjoy it. Worse imagine a day when it's just basic and boring. I raced in the points program. Everytime I run a standard car my knee does the same thing. Put music in your headphones and blur everything and one out from staging lanes. Consistancy is the key. Do everything the same. From your routine getting in the lanes. To the amount of smoke coming from the burnout. It will get easier. Do a few track rentals. It's like a 100bux.

I wasn’t even up to speed lol, and he did radar me or anything and he was already driving on the highway, he just heard a loud car and had nothing better to do, I only got a warning and he was a super chill sheriff but there was no need to pull me over when I was just trying to get onto the highway at the rate of all the other cars unlike the people who go 30 on the on ramp.
you have too aggressive of a clutch, most high horsepower coyote guys run a single disc clutch and get far better results bc a twin disc clutch either loves to spin or bog
PTiddy @itsjusta6 look into the spec stage 3+ single disc clutch. Had it on my 700+hp Procharger mustang and it worked better than any twin disc I had.
I really enjoyed this video. I liked how you had the camera set up on the dash recording you and not on your forehead. You need to do that more often especially while drag racing at the track so we can see you better in action.
@@killercoyote3445 funny do to the fact the 4.6L modular motor from Ford that were in mustang's was one of the best motors produced until they redid the 5.0/coyote motor. They make ANY LS look like a slow 4 banger

I’ve been watching your channel for a while and man the hydro isn’t really going to help you launch and you’re not running fast enough times to need a parachute. If hydro brakes really helped drag cars launch, you’d see every manual transmission drag car out there with one...and you don’t.
Israel Tijerina sure most drag cars have more race geared transmissions however justa6’s car isn’t running times fast enough to need a serious transmission. There are plenty of s197 and s550 Mustangs running deep into the 8s and 9s with MT82s or Tremec 6 speeds and I’d bet none of them are running a hydro brake to try and launch better.
youre doing good with the launches, you gotta remember that the track is gonna hook wayyyyy more than unprepped asphalt, unprepped asphalt your gonna be alot less agressive than a prepped surface
You will get a hang of that clutch pretty quick. You will be making really good passes soon without a problem and that chute isnt bad at 90 try pulling it at 150 and up and it will pull some negative gs and you will definitely feel it but the body gets used to it
Nah, still a long way from being a “Racecar”. It’s still got PS, AC, Radio etc. Not to mention it’s only a blower coyote car which is the most typical set up in the coyote world..

Pulled the chute on a highway patrol cruiser that pulled up on our tail... chute opened on his hood. haha. Totally ticked him off. We got away with it due to the fact the guy that owned the car ('62 Beetle Bug w/ 327 Chevy)... dad pretty much owned the town. A line Lock setup will not only help with your burnouts... but the best method for launch control. Under $100 from JEGS. Highly recommend for you...
if you are struggling to launch it use a slipper clutch with that type of power and you will see how good your pulls will be Cleatus has one in Leroy and it makes a massive difference
Gavin please please buy a ground protector for when your welding. Disconnecting the battery isn’t always good enough. Great content as always. Keep working on that launch. Can’t wait to see your next track day.
