something cool I felt like making and yes, I like Star wars, general grievous is my favorite :) but anyways I hope this is a good edit :D link to used song: • Star Wars: General Gri... support the person who made the song :D
And it is crazy since they were not in charge of the Clone Wars show before. This is one of the only improvements Disney has actually made while owning this brand
“RUN WITCHES RUN YOU ONLY PROLONG THE INEVITABLE” 2003 Grievous was an absolute menace not a mere coward like the 2005 and 2008 versions and I’m glad Tales Of The Empire brought back that intimidating and ruthless side of Grievous despite it being an L show.
BROOOO 2003 general grievous is a problem why I got into Star Wars I was genuinely so happy that in tales of the empire, he was ruthless and had intimidation again despite the shoe like you said, being an L
I love how many times he chose not to kill her when he could have. He wanted to torture and toy with his prey. When he did make the kill, he made sure someone was watching and did it effortlessly.
My head cannon is that the Clone Wars tv series was propaganda films made by tge Republic. It would really explain a lot. Like the way the Jedi conduct themselves near the end of tge series, when Palpatine really began forging his empire. Would also explain why General Grievous, who despite being feared loses constantly, is so inept. Yet here we see a glimpse of the 'Real' General Grievous. A sadistic monster that is almost unstoppable and incredibly capable.
I don't mind Grievous being a coward. What I do want is a threatening villain. He can still have the cowardice for when he is clearly losing. But a villain is only as good as you make them intimidating. There are plenty of Batman villains who would run away, or even Goblin in the first Spiderman movie ran a couple of times. But they are threatening. And for a supposed Jedi killer, we don't see a lot of him killing Jedi. They could have balanced it out in the Clone Wars, but Filoni decided to not do much with the character except humiliate him time and time again. It's hard to like a villain who does nothing significant except kill one Jedi padawan nobody liked and who was also a padawan, so it didn't have that much weight. This show partially redeemed the character, and I hope that this will not be the last time we see Grievous in this animated style. I'd love to see a show or some episodes of him killing actual Jedi masters
@@Lord-521 That's true. But he didn't always have to lose. Or at least do some significant damage to where the hero has to run away. They could have written in more tension and given the heroes times where they were losing badly and had to run and be the cowards themselves.
Retreating a Cowardice are different things in my book. The OG Grievous wasn’t being a coward when her ran originally, he was just smart enough to know that he was outmatched. The gunship, and mace windu were the only times he ran originally, and as much as I love him, he was outmatched in both those instances. You retreat when you know you are beat. Cowards just run when they might be beat. I agree with your overall statement, I just wanted to add my two cents. I don’t think Grievous should have ever been a coward, but I do think he was right to run in certain instances.
I love how Grievous looks like he's just playing with his food. He had so many opportunities to kill her, but instead chose to make her suffer just a bit more
@@ItzInfinitedajackal Well the music is a little louder then the actual clip so yeah. Also I would have tried to mute the background music of the original clip so you don't hear two songs at once
The original show did sometimes lose out on the nightmarish feel Grevious must've inflicted on those who met him. He was an impatient brute without a doubt, but they rarely put him a position where he could be perceived as genuine threat without Jedi help, much less in a trapped and nightmarish environment.
I guess it is an improvement over tcw, but i hate how overreliant Grievous has become on not only using both lightsabers at once, but the same old third hand trick. The real 2003 grievous fought off multiple jedi before even busting out the second lightsaber
Pre TCW grievous IS the best grievous because Not only was He very capable of fighting Jedi by himself but His intelligence, best Show in my opinion in Labyrinth of Evil
gotta love that they baited us with grevious and then gave us 6 episodes about morgan and barress like who gives a fuck, i honestly forgot about both of them
