Do not get a TRD also they don’t make them anymore. If buying new 230i recommend just a slightly faster 330i if you don’t need to carry to many people.
So wait you got cross drilled brakes but why would you not size them up first so they have more stopping capacity and volume of air. Unless you mathed it so the brake force is equal to your grip or greater then at any speed. Like if you remade the Msport brakes wouldn’t that do you justice with the 4 Pots in the front and I think a bigger one pot in the rear? Unless cooling is a serious issue but at that point what is the car going through to where it doesn’t have the time/air to cool off. Also how do the rims interact with the braking system are they still acting as a fan or an isolator?
Hey man, great questions! I went with cross-drilled brakes to balance stopping power and cooling without adding unnecessary weight. Sizing up isn't always better unless you're doing some serious track driving. Upgrading to M Sport brakes with 4-pots in the front and a bigger rear caliper would be awesome for hardcore driving, but for my needs, this setup works well. As for cooling, cross-drilled rotors help a lot. The rims are designed to channel air to the brakes, acting like fans to keep things cool. For most driving, this setup handles the heat just fine.
