I quit my job to go full time as an independent craftsman and make whatever takes my interest, looks cool, and pays the bills. Blacksmithing, welding, sculpture, jewelry, Knives!, SWORDS!, THRILLS AND CHILLS!
Its like being on a trapeze. We let go of one handle before seeing the next one in our hand. Its the next logical step when the demand for our work exceeds all other reasons to keep said job. Good luck friend. I've been on my own almost 4 years.
@@VCthaGOATdunker Well... aside from everything being on fire because of Covid, pretty well. I was moving towards less "piece work" (single commissions, etc) and more having stock I take to shows, but everything is shutdown. But work proceeds and it's still the best decision I've made, I'd say.
