If you are on containers you need to get some heavy duty padlocks to padlock the back doors,so you don't get an insurance claim. Also if you are going to the docks with an empty box make sure you are coming out with a new box for your next days job .👍

That's Cockerham Road between A6 & B5272. I take it you delivered into Glasson Dock. The alternative route is though Lancaster city centre which is a pain.

Quickest way do delivery is via motorways and A roads. Trucking UK says naaahh I'll take country lanes and then I can make a massive drama about going around each little corner.

As many will confirm your business success requires 3 realities. Buy cheap, sell expensive AND MOST IMPORTANT, get paid, preferably upfront! Simple peeps! See any number of other vloggers, writers and press for the realities when the business success tripod has any one leg lost? Big, small or worse of all, an in-betweener without the bigger boy cost savings or the little traders ability to act and react quickly to any changes?

Fair play your going for it on your own, sadly it's a dog eat dog industry but I'm sure you will do well. I work nights so pretty much avoid most of the traffic but I end up with tons of diversions. As for drivers who don't care you still get them at night just less of them

start with companies that take on new drivers for a year or two like Evri, Royal mail, Tesco's, JHS etc. Pay isn't as good as what you could earn but it gives you the experience you need for whatever company/work you want to settle on doing in the long run

Owner drivers no good more stress and you have to pay for maintenance fuel insurance and other costs.It’s better to work for a company so when you go home you don’t need to worry about this stuff.
