Gabi, your videos are a great inspirational source, and me and my girlfriend have really enjoyed following your trip across southern Vietnam. We found your channel in early May and have been watching since, your videos have proven entertaining and super useful when we planned our trip through Thailand and now Vietnam. We actually arrived in Hoi An today and spent the night out just now, this town is alive man! We'll be exploring Hoi An in the coming days, hope to bump into you there! :)

Stayed twice in Hoi An. Its a lovely little town with 10 minute bike drive to the main beach. My studio with pool at the river was around 450 US. I think going back there soon. Almost going home after a year (again) Thailand. Thailand and Vietnam are my favourite countries in SA Asia. If you liked Hoi An. You will love Hanoi. Good and safe travels Gabi from Phuket!

Good luck Gabi, l remember living in Da Nang around 2005 and working for an Australian company in a place to the north called Lang Co, it was just a small fishing village 30 minutes from Da Nang which had access to a deep sea port exporting white sand and we used there loading facilities. Very nice area from Hoi An to Hue.

We went to Vietnam about 8 years ago. We went from Hanoi onto Hue, then Hoi An, and finally Saigon. The jewel in the crown was definitely Hoi An, we loved it! We bought some of those lovely silk lanterns from the street that sells them, and we bring them out every Christmas. Have a wonderful time and thanks for giving us a trip down Memory Lane!

I will be riding Ho Chi Minh to Da Nang in February 2024 and have just found your series of videos which have been so helpful! Very informative and entertaining. On your recommendation I have booked through Tigit.

A lot of digital nomads love living in Da Nang because it's a modern, clean city that's nice to the beach. Imagine getting a hotel next to the beach like that for $30 anywhere else...especially in a big city! You should visit Da Lat as a ton of people love it there - bring your gf as I bet she'll love it, too (along with Hoi An).

Cannot wait to see your northern Vietnam trip - especially if you motorbike the northern parts. Visit Ninh Binh, Sa Pa, Ha Long Bay, etc...but do not miss the Ha Giang Loop!! You need to expand your culinary palate, I'd say start with bun thit nuong (in the south) or bun cha (in the north) and com tam are good to begin with. Or do a food tour like Flora and Note did in Hanoi. Steph and Pete did an awesome one in Hoi An with the best tour guides.

That is too funny, I stayed at that same hotel in January 2020, but I was on the seventh floor with a balcony. It was North of the main section of the strip and much quieter.. Having the beach across the street was perfect. Enjoy DaNang. Do not forget to see the Dragon Bridge on Saturday evening.

I love Danang and Hoi An. I would definitely recommend splitting the country into two two-week visits. I regret not really being able to take in the beauty of the north because I did Hanoi-Ha Long and Ninh Binh in only three days

Always stay in the An Thuong area of Da Nang....great food!

I have been to Danang and Hoi An many times and they are some of my favorites. My wife has family in Danang.

I love Hoi An, was there a month ago. Would definitely revisit. Da Nang, not so much. Maybe it has something to do with the terrible weather I experienced there, but after staying in Ho Chi Minh City a few days Da Nang gets boring quickly. The place even flooded a couple of days after I left. Hue is another nice city to visit.

Was in Hoi Ann pre covid in January. Poured every day! So the beach was out. But loved the town. Went to da nang once, OK but much preferred Hoi Ann. Take a boat trip while you're there! (Even got correcles!) Alan

Yes i have been in Da Nang and Hoi An and i love it. I prefer Hoi An over Da Nang actually they have better food in Hoi An and it's very beautiful at night especially!

I love Da Nang best city in Viet Nam. The city have everything. You can go to the beach and relax, go shopping, visit mountains (Ba Na Hills, Hai Van Pass). They said Cali of Viet Nam! =) Love your videos!

been there a few times. overall in Vietnam, i prefer Dalat more than Danang due to the weather and also value for money. Danang and Hoi An is a little bit too touristy and prices gets a little over inflated there.

Gabi 40000 dong is quite high for Banh Mi IMO. I use to pay 15000 dong in district 1 before covid. Recently paid 25000 in district 7 for a meat based banh mi. The woman who worked the stand was overwhelmed with customers. She was swamped with orders and in person request like me. Got to admire her work ethic. She deserves to be rich. I also stick to what I like. Banh mi one day and pho bo the next. Vietnamese food is amazing! Good luck with your adventures in Da nang. Nice beach.

Hoi Ann has a tourist tax as it is a world heritage site. Be careful if you are staying in the limits of the city, take proof with you that you are staying there or you will be charged by very aggressive security people at every entry point. It is beautiful but can become very expensive if you wander in & out of the city limits.

Great job with pronunciation of vnese town names. Most people butchered it with their western accent. You tried a little harder with the tonation and enunciation of the full names

Hey Gabi, I thought this was going to be your epic road trip that you'd been dreaming about forever. So, after just 4 days your calling it quits to hang out with a friend in Da Nang and explore Hoi An, the Disneyland of Vietnam. You had me hooked for a couple days because I was wondering how you'd handle yourself in a real adventure scenario as I already know how you can cope with the rigors of four and five star hotels. Incidentally, you don't need a bigger bike for Northern Vietnam. The roads around Ha Giang and Sa Pa are much more remote, rugged, and difficult to navigate than anything in the South.
