Swift is a good company to start off if your single and such y’all make it not as bad as people say it is tbh I quit for the pay tho for me it wasn’t cutting it since I have family and bigger goals just depends on what your plan is I’m working local making more than when I was otr but swift is good 👍🏼
@@Ball.Daily11 briefly I said it’s a good started company to get your experience not a long run company a lot of people think getting your CDL and joining a big carrier your gonna win big money or just starting off 💰 your probably get paid good when your with your trainer but once you get that upgrade to solo checks start going down miles where their 1,000 to 2,000 some miles but you traveling all that to get paid 600 to 800 checks who’s gonna stay not me lol I’m winning more where I’m at and their constant checks
I totally agree. I’ve been with swift 4 months, 1 month mentorship and 3 months Otr solo. The checks and miles just not enough to be gone for weeks. To get a 800 dollar check. Found me a local making way more than swift paid but I’m thankful for the training at least
I'm yard jockey for Amazon and got my CDL's a year ago while working for Amazon so i can take loads to other Amazon sites within a 100 mile radius but they never have loads for me or they give it to one of my co-workers. My question is, does Swift have a refresher program?
@@bennydrives they havent been too bad besides my dispatcher quitting out of no where. But other than that i have no complaints. They got me back on my feet and treat me well.
@@bennydrives i got a guy who runs for PTI too who parks next to me on home time. They were an option for me too about a year ago but didnt know they had a terminal in jax.
It's all good, leaving swift is the best part of anyone's trucking career lol. I recommend you getting specialized and getting your hazmat an tanker endorsement. If not that just do anything accept for Dry Van/ Refer they get paid to worst and have to drive the most. I recommend going to heniff to get started. My company pays SALARY of 2300 a week off on weekends and I live near our main customers so I get home all the time. There no dry van/Refer driver anywhere doing that much W2. If you wanna get good pay and get home more gey specialized.
Im about to quit swift unless they give me a local position because its starting to snow and in other states its freezing. I signed up for california and arizona only but they told me they dont have enough freight so they gotta send me to Utah and idaho and oregon and washington which is freezing 20 to 30 degrees
